@@g59dillonmehyeah, but now you have no reason to play alts.. having to regrind thousands of threads on an alt, JUST to be able to do Heroics or Mythics, or even dungeons with the ease of your main, is annoying and pointless.. ReMix doesn’t incentivize you to play alts past hitting 70 or doing the dailies.

@AkiRa22084 I gotta back up @overfatten on this one. It's nice for players who want to replay the progression over again, but I think the majority of people don't want to repeat the content or build up the cloak again. I feel like I'm abandoning my cloak when I go my alt characters.

@jasonbecker1989 Yea I'm excited for the change. It's a good step in the right direction. But I'm a little sus on how they worded the hotfix now and it feels like they were just covering up what they planned on doing all along. Thank you for commenting and your support!
I think they planned to do it like this all along. Remix was supposed to last until around WW pre-patch. If they left things as they are, people would just stop trying at a certain point. As August gets closer, we'll see more "hotfixes" like this, I'd wager.
I agree. I'm excited because it's something positive. But when you look at it, yea, they planned on doing this and just worded it like they decided to "make a change".
All I'd want is reduced upgrade costs for alt characters. Make the gear upgrade reduction account wide and boom, all bronze issues fixed.
I want this too. I don't want to unlock the tiers again.

Honestly I think I would’ve preferred discounted upgrades for alts. I don’t mind the grind to get one character up to max ilvl if it means all of my characters can be just as powerful, but even with increased bronze drops, if I want to play alts I’ll still need to farm bronze for several days/week in order to get them to max ilvl
I agree. If we unlocked the tiers for gear once then it should be unlocked for all of our characters.

I noticed this last night when I logged in to play. Unfortunately, this comes at a time where I already have all the vendor mounts and I have all but 1 toy. (most of the toys i had prior to remix)

@@Quaylin thanks! I've leveled 5 toons 70 and working on my 6th. So much easier to farm mounts by making alta to farm them by the time I'm 70 I have about 70k bronze

Seeing you so excited, I was expecting something of consequence, like 95% less upgrade costs for your ALT timerunners at least, or perhaps account-wide cloak stats, that would have been another nice touch. A major fix of the scaling... It sounds like they are just dishing out more bronze as the end of the event approaches.

@@whambalamb Sure, anyone who cared enough to farm either made an alt army or did the grind to upgrade one char to 476, or both, and by now we suckers are pretty much done. But still Blizzard did NOT make any of the changes most vocally and reasonably requested by many players. A lot of bullshit words, lies, and all for nothing. They just made bronze cheaper in week 4, as we knew they would, sooner or later.

I am on my 4rd character in MoP Remix. I'm just hoping to get all 7 to 70 and geared without doing raids or dungeons. I'm doing all the achievements and storylines. Tonight I logged in to play my Elemental Shaman and was at level 41. I took about three hours and got it to 61. It's just amazing how fast it is now.
I’ve made two heroic raiders and a dozen new alts and taken them to 70. With these changes, the starter twink is even easier to make and gear is irrelevant to starter characters. Making an alt army hasn’t ever been easier.
@charlayned Yea it's super nice getting your characters leveled up. I started a pally now and I'm almost 50 already in such short time.
@sharrykitz9231 I replied to your other post about the starter twink thing if you could go more into detail about that, that would be awesome.
@@Quaylin the spools change doubled the threads you get from them so your starter twink character gets powerful twice as fast.
@@Quaylin it’s also important to mention that you do not loot on the alt you’re carrying. It goes to their mail box. Check their mail and take everything out but the XP tokens. You save those for level 40+ and when you get to 25 and 35 you can do the normal raids MV and HoF to get big bonuses to your cloak xp bonus before you collect them. I take mine to 300%xp bonus before opening the tokens. Even if it means doing lfr for the xp threads on completing.
this is awesome, now can they fix the campaign??? ive done every quest, every dungeon and raid in every difficulty, and STILL kirin tor offensive, and siege of orgrimmar campaigns are uncomplete for me. i have no campaign quest from either of them, when using an addon to check what im missing its the intro quest to isle of thunder which is impossible considering you need to do it to even reach the isle or thunder. not sure what im missin for SoO
Edit: I found a fix for anyone having this problem, both questlines were bugged because i met with vereesa and the timeless isles girl before getting the quest to go meet them from vale of eternal blossoms, if you did the same thing, have a lower level char that hasntdone the quests invite you and party sync you to them, you can then get the quests from the vale and turn them in, when you leave the party or un sync it will count as completed for you.
Hopefully they can fix that for us completionists.
With the annoucement now of the War Within, Also should have added a SW/Org portal. So you can go straight into Dragonflight so you could prepare for the new expansion. I don't understand why that one which should be a obvious feature. I understood this at launch. (Misses the point of it.) Makes a guy/gal think, Those characters are just locked in.
I think this would be something good to add a few days before the end of Remix. That way people don't stray off into other parts of Azeroth since remix is focused in Panda land.
I've already got all of the mounts, there is nothing else I need from remix - grinding for bronze isn't fun. If they enabled PVP, it would be fun

Yea I've put a ton of work into my Evoker and it'll always be my remix main for the remainder of the time. But I did start a paladin and it's been super fun leveling him up.

Would be nice if that xp gain 900% my main has turned into increased bronze drop gain. Or if my alts got that.
I agree. It's a wasted stat after level 70 and anything over 100%.
There is no possible way they can't figure out how much it would cost refund people based on the total ilvl you're at for each piece. Sure, it's better to have the bronze farm faster now, but there is no legitimate reason you can't look at a player's ilvl and figure out they should be refunded 200k bronze, or etc. etc., if they actually wanted to reduce the cost.
You could just as easily made a quest that rewarded X bronze based on what your max upgrades were for individual slots, similar to how they added the bronze rewards post-frog farm.
I'm maxed out, I prefer this solution because it will allow me to gear a little bit to my alts. At max level you are already farming around 80k per day easily, so 160k in a day is good.
Yea after thinking about I think they said what they said to cover up the fact that they planned on doing this all along. I could be wrong but either way, it's nice having more bronze.

buddy this wasn't fixed within the first few weeks....a ton of players were out already. the fact the frog farmers exploited and we're done spoke volumes.

Nah. Saw the exploiters selling carries instantly and decided I’m done with wow. Uninstalled and haven’t been back.

Noice! great changes! i HOPE they do more remixes in the future and i hope they add in a way to retire a character from remix to take em back to normal content when your done on the remix with that character

I was never able to upgrade my gear because of its high cost which was sad however since I didn’t upgrade all my gear I got most of the rewards I wanted. Would have been nice to have done both but now I think I’m done with the event and will unsubscribe soon. It is too late for me. Also would be nice to have more bones of manaroth. Having to do a 90 minute raid twenty times just feels bad.
I hear ya. Maybe you didn't have a lot of time to play? If so, that's ok. Being busy is a good thing. Hope you had fun with it either way.

Yea I saved a few and it worked. I saw some guy on reddit save up all of his because he saw this coming. Got something like 750k
with this update, if you were to max out a character and get all the cosmetics, its gonna take you around 18 days to do it, and the event is gonna last for 65 more days, what will you do with the rest of the time

I actually had an idea. What if they made remix into a seasonal thing that's permanent? So we go from one expansion to another and they have a theme each time they do it. That would be fun. Always OP.

I think the frog farmers have had their time. People who didn't frog farm are not caught up to them as far as gear so the slate is clean.

@@Azari_D I’m sure they’d have issues with those 2 expansions since they have way too many borrowed powers. Would be a nightmare.
@@stevenrussell8917 well…..no. there was a legendary cloak in pandaria and they just didn’t add it. in bfa they can make the neck the “cloak” of that expansion, and similarly with any piece of gear they want in shadowlands. Rings probably.
@@shareb.8958 in bfa, they have Azerite gear, which is random, and corruption which is annoying to farm, and you still have to farm the abilities for the neck piece. I don’t want to do that again. WoD is a better choice without all of that for blizzard to have to redo. WoD I believe had a legendary ring which is an easy fix. They can also add the raid for shattrath which didn’t make it 😂

Seems silly that they punished the froggers now that they are buffing bronze and threads
Froggers kept all their bronze and most of their power. Froggers were done farming by Sunday afternoon. Not even the rollback touched that. Froggers, if they are still playing Remix, it's because they are selling boosts for gold.
@erinjones5382 I feel at this point that froggers had their time, we caught up with the gear upgrades, and it's basically a clean slate now. They got hit with the cloak drop and it's all good. Now we're just as powerful as they were with our ilvl being 476.
@@Quaylin When I got to 476, I had about 100k threads (most of them from the farm I did on that character to get the bronze to get to 476), but the big pumpers who were doing 6M to 12M damage at the time had 200k-300k threads. With my 1M-2M I was a piece of snot, at the bottom of the Details chart. That way, I didn't even get to feel powerful at 476. And by the time I had the choice to keep farming threads to rise to God-tier I had already farmed all the necessary Bones from Garrosh, the whole way up had been unpleasant, there was no sense of accomplishment, no dopamine release, and so I just didn't care anymore. Those players at the top were probably, although not certainly, froggers. Not that it matters to me now, either way. I hope they do their math better with all the variables on the next Remix. Before launch, I hope.
@mothman84 Dang that sucks. I guess we’ve had different experiences or I’ve just been playing a lot because I’m doing some sick damage and I didn’t frog farm.
@@Quaylin You likely played more than me. I had my shiny first timerunner, I was a bit butthurt that the frogs had been nerfed one hour after I got to the Timeless Isle. The day after I was "deemed a frog farmer" and I didn't get the 40k gift, I had no stats AND no bronze, that was an off-putting combo. My heart just wasn't in it anymore. Then, because I'm a sucker, I brought up a hunter, and spent 3 logorating days killing trolls, got to 476, only to find that the Superstars in raids were 2-3 laps ahead of me. So it was a bunch of things that ruined it for me. When you're just not dancing to the rhythm of the music, it's a mess. Better luck next time!
