I used to do Kendo a while back, I did stop doing it but I felt as if I had learned only a fraction of all the things my sensei’s taught me. I felt as if there was something they were trying to teach me about my mind and mental state but I didn’t know what it was until now. Thank you, this was very helpful.

This is an expensive sport the armor cost around 1000 dollars. :(
When you get one you never change it for the rest of your life
usually sensei let you borrow a pair of theirs if they got enough until you're pro enough to buy it yourself

Done it for a few years got a pretty good deal.
There are quite many decent and protective armors that cost less than half that amount :)
Its just bamboo rubbing which is ineffective in the real world.
