Thanks for sharing, good video, can you provide link for the Phone mount you have, thanks ;-). Update, do not worry about the link, got it from your video.
I test rode one today and my arms killed me afterward. It felt like I was Superman with my arms stretched out. I’m only 5’8 so these would be a must if I bought one. I really liked the bike.
I have used the Rox in the past but A1 Cycles came out with a beautiful riser which is 2" taller 1" back love them can't wait to install them. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for the link just picked the bike up and rode 300 miles with out them, def a must add unfortunately not black anodized anywhere but snagged some raw aluminum
Cabeling was good, I’ve gone to inches on a few of my Harleys and the cabling was always good on all of them I think that’s about the limit though for stock cables. It’s definitely comfy
Well, first off it’s an adventure bike, so scratches ARE..going to happen. But, 100% yes, you are not the the first to feel that way about the video lol!
Ohhh so the riser portion stem that fits on the stock risers is short. They don't sit in the stock risers flush with the riser border. I had a question, do you feel the harsh front end brake dive with these. With the stock the brake dive was putting a lot of pressure on my wrists.
KT, I have 6000 miles on these now. It’s taken a lot of pressure of the wrists. Trust me I ride super sporty AND heavy off-road. It takes a minuscule amount of feel away sitting down, but the reward is much more comfy. Plus, these are infinitely adjustable to your liking. they are also a better hand position when standing up.
It’s a TOTAL of 2” inches differences. Most of that 2” is up (~60%) and the rest is towards the rider (~40%). You can play with that ratio a lot. Also, I’m not necessarily sure the “rider triangle” is a 90’ triangle. Others may know better.
Thanks KG!!! Yeah, for sure. I had the link and part number in my description :D Link to the risers below: MSRP $127 roxspeedfx.com/collections/harley-vtwin/products/indian-chieftain-roadmaster-2-pivoting-bar-risers 1R-P13RINM
Thanks for the kind words! No real issues with the risers. They are much more comfy, but you do lose a bit of road feel (most notably 7/10th and above) and a bit of off road front end feel. The same with any riser period.
@@MCCJustMotos Great to hear. Hope to buy myself a Pan America by the end of this year so I've been watching/saving videos of after market add-ons. Appreciate the videos!
Perhaps, however they are meant to be changeable and Loctite might hamper that. I’ve 6000 miles on them now including sport and off-road with no issues.
Ha ha youfell for the large adv bike nonsense.Wait till you have to maintain it.First it has ton of bells and whistles to go all wrong which it will. Then all accessories cost our your ass.Same risersfor Himalayan cost $35.You have bought a cadillac when you really justneeded a Subaru. All the bells and whistles arent on the Yamaha T 7 which is actually the most capable adventure bike on the market. The Himalayan is by far tje best value. The T 7 the most capable.Harley has one of the worst manufacturing records of any motorcycle.Engines tend to be full of shavings and problems from hell. The staff at Milwaukee is always drunk .
David, I love the fact that you have contempt for Big bikes and Harleys even more so. Your passion comes through and hey you bring some valid points. Luckily there are different point of view for different folks. One of your best points is about the T7. As you know, I rode it in my last video and I really liked it! Good power, good comfort, good on-off road chops. If I did not already have my Himalayan, I would have bought that instead of the Harley. But, to me the T7 was too similar so, yes I went with the “Cadillac” as you say. My last 3 new Harleys have been my most trouble free bikes i’ve ever had…I’ve had 60 bikes. Cheers and thanks for the watch!

Absolutly! Can’t wait to hear how your risers work out!
Thanks! Gonna order them soon. I was hesitant because I'm more interested in getting the bars closer then up. Thanks nice job!!
Cool! Yeah they are totally flexible in how you set them up! Thanks for the watch
I like how you took the bike out and showed the differences. Good vid man.
Thanks and you too did a great job on your 2" riser video. Did you ever consider the Rox?
@@MCCJustMotos I looked at them for sure. Both are very similar but I liked the look of these and the owner of A1 seemed like a solid guy.

Added those to mine. Absolutely made the bike fit me.
Awesome , how many miles?

Interesting on my bike, the torx bolts were size T 45.
🤔
Thanks for the video!
Just curious why you didn't buy the replacement risers. I have seen a ton of different ones. i.e. 3" and 3" back sort of thing.
Your welcome. EZ..when I bought they weren’t in stock for months! Lol
The cable relief looks good. I wonder if Harley sets up the cabling for that? Big difference though. You look comfortable on the bike.
Cabeling was good, I’ve gone to inches on a few of my Harleys and the cabling was always good on all of them I think that’s about the limit though for stock cables. It’s definitely comfy
Your going to want to rotate some of the controls to make it easier for your thumbs/fingers to select the buttons & turn signals.
agreed! I’ve since done that. :)
I was getting anxiety from the lack of any cover or protection over the tank while you were doing this job 😂

Do you know the torque specs for risers top claps?
Sorry, I do not. I also did not know if the specs are different with taller risers with taller bolts. So I tightened them as hand tight as I could.
Pitagoras said that they can't be 2 inches towards you since they are an hypotenuse

has anyone on here tried upgrading the bars themselves?
Hmm, I have not heard of anyone trying..with the split sport bike style bars and all..
