Great video! I also have short arms and was doubting to go for a pan am or not. You really convinced me by showing the pullback risers. I'm in!

I changed to the A1s six months ago and I do not regret it a bit. So much more comfortable. No forward pressure. The best. And as said you can see the screen ! Just don't see why HD offered higher risers that hide the screen anyway.

Excellent video! Thanks for taking the time to do this. It seems everyone has their favorite and are blind to the flaws of their choice. I have the Rox 2” adjustable risers. I’m happy with the placement. It’s a compromise between seeing the bottom of the instrument cluster and hitting my SW Motech Pro tankbag. The only drawback, and it might not be an actual issue, is there is less clamping surface area where the stock clamps grab the risers.

You're off to a great start with your channel Mike, nice videos. I'm seriously considering adding risers to stop my hands from going numb. I'm curious to know how raising the handlebars affects handling, I'm guessing not at all when cruising at highway speeds between 70-90mph but what about fast twisty roads with some aggressive banking. I'd hate to lose the sportbike like handling, although comfort is clearly a concern for me.

You definitely loose the forward lean and the more aggressive riding posture that comes with it. I can’t say it was caused any sacrifice in actual performance for me though with how I ride this bike. When I want to ride the twistys more aggressively, I take my Z650 which has clipons. Though the Pan Am has way more power than that bike, but the Kawasaki is much more flickable.

Hey Mike. Nice info. I have a special I got back in July. Just received a call today that my panniers and top case are in. Still waiting for risers. Quick question…I noticed a couple of assessory mounts on the bars. Maybe another video showing them and telling us what their function is. I am still researching GPS and phone mounts. Thanks for sharing!

I use a quad lock for my phone (right side) and on the left are switches for my Clearwater lights. That’s about all I have up there. No gps, just the phone.

Great video. But man, can't imagine that anyone would take a risk with a knockoff riser knowing what's riding on it.

I think the fact that HD had so little accessories available led more people to try the knock offs parts. The particular ones I got appear to be well made and machined from solid aluminum. But that’s not to say they would all be like that when buying from random sellers on the internet. I do have full faith in the quality of the A1 cycle risers though.

where do you buy A1, they seem very comfortable and solid

Would be useful to see people of different heights sitting on the bike with each riser.

Any options for someone wanting lower sportier bars?
