Ha Ha
Next Time grab some toilet paper before you watch another one of my UA-cams!
Steve
A section mate suggested I check this one out! I think he's looking to thin out his quiver. My first trpt was Olds; kinda like that valve position. Sounds great! You know Tommy, eh?
G. Vaughn Forsyth I have a demo in mint shape on the HornTrader site. Tommy and I have done business a couple times before

Best,

Wow what a horn. And through most of the video I kept wondering does it come with a traditional Selmer-type crook tuning slide and BINGO there's the slide! I haven't tried a Carol but do have to say, they are well on their way of surpassing a lot of makers!
Charlier - 36 Etudes for Trumpet #2 (Du Style)
Hi Dave,
Yes they are causing quite stir in the trumpet world.
Fine horns indeed!
Stay Tuned,
Steve
I played recently a silver edition of this horn, among others. Respectfully, the audio in this vid does not do the horn justice. I used a Bach 3C. imho, this model is CB's best. The balance, feel fit me like a glove. The valves are excellent, so is the build quality. The sound is a tad bright, but has depth. It produces an open sound that is radiant; not the narrow, piercing sound of many lead horns. It plays and blows very easily; no appreciable resistance, so going high is easier than with other horns. I have played a balance Selmer long ago. The CB is the closest per my memory, and may surpass. It is on my wish list.
Best horn player ever.
+Midnight RejectZ
Wow That's quite a compliment! thanks for the KUDOS.
Stay Tuned to the HornTrader!
Steve
+HornTrader ill be sure watch! But I have a question. I have a student model Bb trumpet, it's a King Model 601 Bb. But I am having trouble tuning it properly... I was wondering if you could do a video on how to tune my specific horn. That would be much appreciated. Thank you for replying !
+Midnight RejectZ
I don't have your specific horn in inventory. A few things to check.
1. Does the mouthpiece seat properly in the receiver? Are you using a trumpet MPC?
2. Is the horn clean? Specifically the lead pipe and tuning slide?
3. Are the water keys corks all seating and making a seal with closed?
4. Are you playing with good air support
Good luck
Steve
+HornTrader My Mouthpiece fist perfect into the receiver, but my crocks on my water keys do leak... Is that bad? I am playing with good air, but I can not make a pure sounding Low C to Middle G
+Midnight RejectZ I apologise... I meant corks not crocks
Steve, you always sound great, but there seems to be a great 'fit' between you and this specific horn horn! Just awesome ....
Question: you mentioned that this balanced horn doesn't smack you in the chops like others (olds recording, selmer satchmo, etc) ... and I was curious 'why'? I understand your hands are further away, so you would tend to crash the mouthpiece into your face if you weren't thinking about the difference ... but why is the CarolBrass different in this respect?
I just played the Olds and Selmer last weekend at a trumpet hang, and loved them both ... so now this little gem is calling my name!
Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,Blaine,Blaine, Blaine,
that's the horn calling your name….
On the Olds and Selmer Trumpets the lead pipe is a little more forward even though the valves are in the middle of the horn. This horn the lead pipe is a little more forward than those horns previously mentioned. So when you pick up this horn after a couple of brews and aren't paying attention you don't smack your self in the chops.

Steve, Steve, Steve ... ditto!!!! I'll likely get one, but not yet. New Getzen Flugel is next. BTW - will CarolBrass do a special? I like satin finish, so I was wondering if they would do one satin like so many of their other horns?
blaine kelley Carol Brass will do custom finishes. The Scratched lacquered brass is my favorite too. When your ready to pull the trigger and we'll get you any finish you want. Stay Tuned To The HornTrader!
Wow, very nice. Is that horn even more balanced than an Olds Recording?
Seems like the valve section is pushed very far to the bell.
Yes I believe the valves are more forward than the Olds Recording.
Stay Tuned To The HornTrader!

I dig your videos very much!
Especially the ones about Olds Recording trumpets... Owning a 1957 model myself, I cannot believe that the Carol Brass can get any better though.
Stay well - I can see: An apple (like the one on your workbench) a day keeps the doctor away...

So how does this horn compare to the forward false super recording?
+Byron Miller
Not Sure what forward false means. They are very close except the Olds Super Recordings were .462 bore compared to the .460CarolBrass Balanced CTR-8060H which is .460 or ML. Also the Olds and a crown or tone ring on the bell that gave it a little more focused sound.
Disculpa que Modelo de Boquilla Es la Marca ...porfa
