4 Day Vacation To ROMANIA 🇷🇴 (Bucharest, Brasov, Dracula's Castle)

- I went to Romania in May 2023. 🛫
The Airbnb we stayed in was on the popular street of Calea Victoriei. This was the perfect location, because we were a 5 minute walk to basically all of the touristy destinations.
A couple places that are a MUST see, are:
- Macca-Villacrosse Passage
- Old Town
- Carturesti Carusel Bookstore
- Piata Unirii (Water fountain)
- Palace of Parliament
** We originally planned to do a 1 1/2 hour train ride 🚂 to Ruse, Bulgaria for a day trip, but when we went to purchase the ticket, they were only selling a one-way ticket there! Come to find out, there's only 1 train going and coming per day, so if you want to do it, plan to spend a night in Bulgaria.
The 2 1/2 hour train ride 🚂 to Brasov was easy and comfortable. There were several stops along the way, and there were some good views. For the most part, you can sleep on the train and you really won't miss anything.
Looking back, I wish we spent a full day/night in Brasov because I felt like there was enough to do there, including taking a 30 minute Uber to see Dracula's castle 🏰. Bucharest is perfect for 2 days, as you'll be able to see just about everything in that amount of time.
I want to say THANK YOU to @Bucharest_Europe for allowing me to use some of their footage in this video!
Really appreciate everybody that watched this video!! Next video will be in Greece 👀👀

The price increase is due to Putler’s war next door, they weren’t this high in 2020 or 2021 even if it was the full blown Covid pandemic.
Niceeeee ❤❤❤
thank you!! ☺️
Great video 👏🏽
Goodlooks primo. You gotta teach me some things!
A lot of people go to Romania thinking it's a cheap country, only to find out that it's not different from any other place in Europe. Romania isn't like Thailand or Vietnam, where budget travelers can just live off their thousand dollar savings account.
Very true! I had a 10/10 experience regardless, and will go back! 🇷🇴💜
An engaging video and some great places to visit.
Really appreciate the support! I just subscribed to your channel ☺️
thank you for your support - keep up the great content. @@FlyWithVeiga
Thank you for your video if you will want to come back in România I have made a list of some places you can visit: a very beautiful place is Therme Bucharest it is the largest and modern complex of thermal baths in Europe, and you should really go to Salina Turda in Cluj it is amazing, Castelul de lut in Sibiu which looks like a fairy tale, the Palace of Culture in Iași, Trasfăgărășean and Transalpina, are two of the most spectacular mountain roads in the world, Vidraru Dam,Mud Volcanoes in Buzău, Danube Boilers, Egreta Complex in Brezeasca, Danube Delta, Sphinx in the Bucegi Mountains, Corvin Castle.😊 🇷🇴🤝🇺🇸
Wow that’s amazing, thank you for this!
I’m going to look up all of the places, I’m really curious!
I will do some research and message you back!
That guy with the stripe shirt dancing was a vibe! We gotta run the trip back
Yup! Good vibes only
Funny😀Actually that guy is a famous chef who have been judge at Masterchef. Now he is judge at another cooking show on tv. His name is Catalin Scarlatescu.
@draculakickyourass haha no way!! That’s awesome!
HI FROM ROMANIA !👋
Hello!
Thank you for watching! I had an amazing time in your beautiful country.
❤❤❤
🇷🇴💜
Usually we don't have our flags up. You saw it everywhere because public institutions are required by law to have it up and you were in the area where there are a lot of them. I think you also saw the EU flag up together with it.
I love it! It’s a beautiful flag and a beautiful concept!
Dracula's castle is actually in Bucharest, in Old Town, it is named "CURTEA VECHE" (Old Princely Court), but it is a ruin and was built by Vlad Tepes in 1459... the only building that is renovated is the church of the former Palace, and it is the oldest church in Bucharest (it was built in 1554 ), next to Hanul lui Manuc built in 1808 (Manuc's Inn, which appears in the video at min 4:33) ... Vlad Tepes was not ruler of Transylvania, he was the ruler of Wallachia ... And the capital of Wallachia was in his time Targoviste, a city situated at 80km from Bucharest
I never would’ve known that!
I did walk by Curtea Veche without even knowing, that’s really cool to know, thank you!
Are you sure about that ?
@@FlyWithVeiga Right behind Hanu lui Manuc. But it's a ruin.
@@samm928 Yes, not his "throne" castle, but one of them he had ownership/ jurisdiction over.
@victors4333 interesting .. I grew up in Mures but Tsepes is before my time .. I started looking into recent history and documentaries that took place after 1989 .. still questioning if it was a false flag, orchestrated by the CIA ..
Mergi la cetatea Râșnov ❤
This pictures look beautiful, I wish I could have went!
When I go back to Romania, I will make sure to go🇷🇴
Hi...where are you from?
America
Since it's the capital everything is more expensive. Also, you only ate in the most touristy and expensive area even in Bucharest.
That is very true, you are right!
Thank you for visiting Romania!❤ Hope you had a great holiday here!
Thank you! It was an amazing country, and I cannot wait to go back! 🇷🇴💜
Amazing Romania,we just got back from Romania, soooo beautiful!!!
What cities did you go to?
Definitely not cheap, but you hit all the touristy places.
Yeah I should’ve done more research before I went. Beautiful nonetheless; I will go back again!🇷🇴
Imagine to believe that Bucharest with a GDP per capita of 50k $ is cheap 😂😂😂
haha definitely didn’t know that! explains the prices
@@FlyWithVeiga it does not looks like that though cuz of the communist blocks
Bro thank you for sharing the experience you guys had. Nice I loved it. But the prices tho.
Thank you for watching, I appreciate the kind words! It was an amazing country; I can’t wait to go back! 🇷🇴💜
Brother common if you go to turistic areas you are going to spend a lot of money - its normal.
This is very true!
I just assumed it would have been a little bit cheaper, because Athens and Istanbul is cheaper than Bucharest. But I still had an amazing time, and can’t wait to go back! 🇷🇴💜
i just want to sleep on a bed made of your voice :))
Haha I don’t know if this is sarcasm or not. I hate hearing my own voice 😂
You missed Peles castle in Sinaia
I know!! the pictures look absolutely beautiful. I wish I planned it better, and made time to see it!
Mamaia was RE-built from the ground up and made to be a 2.0 IBIZA, but on steroids...Between you and me, I dont think you can afford it, well, it depends...compared to anything in Greece or Turkey...lol :))))
Haha yeah man I heard great things about it! I’m gonna have to check it out for myself; a buddy of mine has been about 7 times and loves it
@@FlyWithVeiga WOW...7 times, im romanian and been there like 4...kudos to him...Beautiful your videos tho...have fun friend!
Thank you, man. Appreciate the kind words, and appreciate you watching it!
Are there any cool places near the Black Sea to visit? Don’t know much about the area
Yes!
There’s a beach strip called Mamaia Beach. Heard it gets pretty packed and wild there in the summer haha
Just gotta take the train from Bucharest to Constanta (right next to Mamaia beach)
Huge difference between the audio level of speech and music. Music makes you deaf.
Yeah I agree. I just started doing this, and had an issue with the software automatically trying to adjust the audio to my voice.
I think I figured out how to fix it going forward!
@@FlyWithVeiga 👍
I do appreciate the constructive criticism, so thank you!
@zootallures6470 I think I accidentally deleted your comment about Bram Stoker.
I didn’t know anything about him and the origins of Dracula, so that’s cool to learn!
A couple people in Romania, and things I read online, insinuated that although Dracula is fake, if it were a person, it would have been based off Vlad Tepes. But you definitely know more about it than me, so I’m glad you passed that knowledge!
@@FlyWithVeiga Vlad Tepes impaled people [we're talking about the Middle Ages] but he never drank anybody's blood.
He was not the model for count Dracula, it was all in Stoker's mind.
Earlier Romania didn't want to be connected with Dracula in any way. Today every tourist agency will take you to their very own Dracula castle 😀
Lol that pasta was deceiving as hell huh 😂 was not expecting that
lol yeah man terrible; it was only like $6 tho lol def wasn’t a hit
Nice video it’s your gf Romanian?
No, we are both American. We always wanted to travel to Romania!
❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you for watching! 🇷🇴❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Thank you!! 🇷🇴❤️
😍🔥
Appreciate you for watching primo🤞🏾🤞🏾
looks very European
I loved it! thought it was a really cool country.
Have you been before?
BStudios..really?! Look very european?!!? 😂😂😂😂 !Romania is located in eastern part on european continent mate! Go to school!
Ist european
Ummm... maybe because it is European???
BStudios, what a dumb you can be!
Hei man. Dont go to Mamaia. They ruined the beach when they extended it.
Oh wow! What other cities do you recommend to visit?
@@FlyWithVeiga seea side: you can go to Constanta city, eforie, costinesti or vama veche if you want to party. If you want to explore wild life at the sea side...i recommend you Danube Delta. If you want something medievel: Sighisoara, Sinaia, Sibiu, Alba Iulia, Oradea and you can include Castelul Corvinilor. If you want to explore: Turda Salt Mine or Prahova salt mine(its ok but turda its better), go on a hike in the montains. You can search for a hike trail from Busteni(its close to Sinaia) and you can go up on the montain with the teleferic and from there by foot to Caraiman Cross. Its tourist friendly. Of you want to relax up in the montains you can go to Bolboci lake and you have some hiking routs there.
@@FlyWithVeiga (2) if you want to search for spirituality...you can go in a monestry tour in Moldova or anny other part of the country. Other citys worth travel to visit are Timisoara and Cluj.
Oh man, that’s awesome!
Thank you for sharing, I’m going to look into it. I definitely plan on going back in the future!
@jerryevert644 yes....its sad....it used to be verry fun there
