hello 👋 can I ask you for help? I want to visit Brasov, but i have just arrived in Romania and know nothing.. can you help me to learn a little bit more? ❤️
There is actually a important cave in the Bran area, Peștera Liliecilor (Bats' Cave) and you can find some rare bats species in it. So it wouldn't be weird to see bats flying in the area.
I really like your video style and the fact you did some research about the locations you were visiting. I completely agree about Bran, the Dracula bit is just a "tourist trap" that i don't blame the castle management for using but while nothing too "radical" the real story of it is more appealing. And I think the castle has a lot of charm being small but with all those twisted corridors and stairs.
Romanians were oppressed during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and that's due to the fact that Romanians were primarily orthodox, also Hungarians were scared that Romanians would take over, since the ancestors of Romanians were Dacians and were the primary residents of Transilvania so ethnic cleanse begun. Many were forced to change their names and many were forced out of their cities during their rule. Eventually, the Romanians managed to cease the cities and kick out the invading force. It's hard to find an ethnic group that wasn't oppressed by the Austro-Hungarians during their rule in central Europe. Slovaks and Serbs also were oppressed by them.
Transsylvania was depopulated many times over the centuries, the Dacians actually disappeared from Transsylvania, like most of the Gepids, Lombards, Huns, Avars, etc. The Romanians started to migrate to Transsylvania in the 13. century, basicly from Wallachia and South Balkan. After the Mongol invasion the Hungarian king started to settle down the wallachian nomadic shepards living in Transsylvania and invited Saxon Germans. Transsylvania was a rich multicultural territory, and those beautiful cities were mostly Hungarian and German cities, but because of the ottoman wars, the Habsburgs and the treaty of Trianon the Romanians became the majority.
@@paprikajanos607 that doesn’t even make any sense. The modern shepard that lives in Romanian country side today lived there for many many generations, they farm the land like their ancestors for hundreds and hundreds of years. You see, you just proven my point. That is Hungarian propaganda, your Orban’s been feeding you. In reality you are the true victim here as your knowledge has been altered for political benefit. Nobody but Hungary believes that theory. It’s time for Hungary to move on we live in 21st century and your argument has been outdated since 1945 since ww2
@@paprikajanos607 First of all, Romanians are de descendants of Dacians. Dacians never disappeared, they have been romanized by Romans after the Daco-Romans wars (101-102 and 105-106). Romanians do not migrate in Transylvania, and Romanians do not became the majority after Trianon, they been majority during Habsburg Empire, same as Slovaks for example, they had majority in their lands during Habsburg rule. PS: Can you imagine how wrong you are!? In 1915 there was 7.9 milions Romanians living in Kingdom of Romania, today in Transyilvania are living about 5 milions of Romanians. In 1939 in Romania was living 19.9 milions of inhabitants including people from Bessarabia. There is no migration from Kingdom of Romania to Transylvania, Romanians are living there for centuries, with their traditions, generation to generation. Nobody from Moldova or another parts of Romania moved to Transylvania after 1918, people live in their comunities, the accent of the language in Transylvania is different form another parts of Romania. No migrations after 1918.
Imagine we were fighting otoman empire within those castles, we also had to fight hungarians, then at one point even against Russian Empire, we had Bessarabia as part of Romania, and we have even a fortress in Odessa, but nowadays it is part of Ukraine. Romania is very rich in history and a country which born under many enemies invading us and making us to pay money to strong imperialist countries. We kind of succed to get independence within always having an ally to fight enemies, so we kind of rotate enemies and allies as well, to kind of make up to surface between 3 imperialist and strong nations which were fighting constantly to conquer those lands. Romania is turning beautiful every year, is doing more and more stuffs and restores old buildings and schools/highschools, we have a lot of communist builded cities and we kind of need to change that ugly constructions, some cities really look majestic and medieval, but some really mess up within communist style and old style arhitecture.
We all love Brasov (Kronstadt) and hopefully the airport will be opened next year in summer 2023. Bureaucracy is still bad in Romania and that's why it got so many delays. You must visit the real Dracula Castle too. Poenari Citadel , Arges Country, Wallachia, Muntenia region.
@@ztkzts855 you make me laugh;))) You need an update. Really:) Also, you know that Dracula was Walachia's king, right? :)
@@ztkzts855 all historical regions are beautiful. really.
You guys should go next to Timisoara and stop by Hunedoara.
🌟 Wow, this video🎥 took me on a virtual adventure! 🌎✈ Where should I travel next?
Romania❤️
Thank you guy's, I just want to be home, Transilvania is my home
@@paprikajanos607 Hungarian bs.
@@paprikajanos607 wtf are you people reading over there?!
Brașov cel mai frumos oraș !!! ❤❤❤

This is my home town 💓
they were thinking you are romanian because you are beautiful, like all the womans we have here :D
You look wonderful in every video. Almost as if it was a necessity to watch these videos just because of you.
Small mention: 275 000 population was back in 2012. In 2021 it was estimated at around 640 000
😍😍😍
We all love Brasov (Kronstadt) and hopefully the airport will be opened next year in summer 2023. Bureaucracy is still bad in Romania and that's why it got so many delays. So the airport is going to be a game changer for Brasov ! I really think we should move the capital city from ugly Bukarest to Brasov.
Great Video. Thank you for posting.

If you have the chance visit the North of Romania: Maramureş and Bucovina . You will love it ❤
Brasov is my hometown, lived there till 22 yo... but unfortunately it is almost 5 years I don't go there. I am very glad that you enjoyed the city. Watching your video transported me 20 years back in time. Thank you guys and see you back in Brasov!!
Bravoo! Felicitari! (Un vampir din Brasov)
10 km away there is an even bigger castle on a rock. Râșnov castle
Well, and I thought Hollywood Los Angelos was the only city to have signs like that on a hill.
