I wonder how some of these gym leaders feel, knowing they spent their whole lives training pokemon and a kid whos been at it for 2 hours with 1 pokemon beats them.
This was awesome to watch :D Sadly it could have been a minute or two less because of the spinners and plus that last battle, but still incredibly epic! I couldn't have done that haha
Because timing begins the instant the player gains control of the character for the first time and stops the instant the player loses control of the character for the last time. This is true of all speeddemosarchive runs, at least. In other words, the credits do not affect the official timing.
You should try speed running Ruby/Sapphire. I am merely an amateur speed runner and I beat that game in 5 hours without even trying. As soon as you get Combusken, everything in the game dies in 1 hit, with the exception of a few things. Once you get Groudon/Kyogre the Elite 4 is a joke.
Love the run. Though, I find the game volume to be a little too high in comparison to your commentary. Which, I mean, I followed the SDA run link to here specifically for the commentary..so yeah. Anyway, great job
So I know you don't like segmented runs, but I'm going to attempt at least to plan one, so can I ask something about the rules? Am I allowed to finish a segment, and then come back and have it be a different time? Eg I want to avoid encounters so I finish the segment, then start back up at night so there are less encounters. Would that be accepted?

Someone mentioned 2 months ago, but audio is about ~6 seconds out of sync.
