Imagine getting to go to Kyoto or Okinawa for FOUR or FIVE DAYS as a SCHOOL TRIP. Like what?? All my school ever did was one day trips to a local park no cap 😩
I did a special sort of program at my school when I was 13-14 and we went on a trip to outback australia for a week. Other than that, my school doesn't even really do excursions, even less so now that we're in and out of lockdown.
It was my first day in Japan. I was in Umeda station in Osaka with my friend and I was walking a bit fast to catch the train so my friend yelled with a really loud voice "oy hintay" which means "hey, wait a minute/おい、ちょっと待ってよ" in Filipino, and then everyone near me was "ZAWA ZAWA". Now, I know that "oy, hintay" sounds like "oi, hentai/おい、変態/hey, you pervert!". Lesson learned笑笑笑
That looks so much fun! We don't really have a 4-5 days school trip. It's just typically one day. We go to a picnic place and we have tasty food, sight seeing a lil bit and then by evening we return. That's it. But man, I would've loved to spend nights with the friends in a hotel for such a long trip. It'd be so much fun! 😊
for my middle school, the amount of days we stayed grew every end of the year trip so in sixth grade we stayed like three days, seventh grade it was four days and eighth grade it was gonna be seven days but was cut down to five. Also in the beginning of every school year we went upstate to a camp where we stayed for five days. We didn't get much freedom on what to do until we were in the hotels/cabins but it was still fun
I used to do these trips with my volleyball team but it was rather harsh. We’d have dinner at 9pm right after training for 6 hours, then do tasks till midnight, then wake up at 5am for a walk.

Same here, it also depended on grade too, though. I was able to go on a week long camp to the outback in grade 8 due to a program I was apart of but other than that, it all depended on class. For example, kids taking art or photography might get the opportunity to go to a gallery of some kind, whether it be a day trip or an overnight camp usually depends on the grade.

I live in Kerala[South India] and I have only been to private schools so I don't about government schools but we had a picnic every year. It depends on the grade you're in tho. Like the 9th,10th, 11th and 12th get to go on a trip to Goa[or other states close to ours] and stay for like 4 days. But other classes like 7th and 8th can only go to places within the state for 1or 2 days. I think it actually depends on the school you're in. One of my old schools had something called 'field trips' for educational trips like to the fisheries, bread factory etc, and a picnic towards the end of the year. Btw, loved knowing how some of you guys went on school trips! Thank you Onomappu for the lesson!
In my experience, in middle school I went to Kediri, east Java and Jogjakarta for 2 weeks. Normally, in the schools I studied, we went for tours such as: water parks, museums and tourist spots in nearby cities, nothing that lasted more than a day hahaha. I never went on any school trip because there was always some setback, and then I still had to support the other students by telling them all the wonderful things they had done on the trip. Sad life. Thanks for the Portuguese subtitles, they are very good.
I loved school trips, we went on 4 during my school time. We would usually go for 5 days, to some areas not too far away. We also had one day school trips to museums or to sightsee historical cities. At 8th grade we went skiing for 5 days. That was the highlight, even better than our graduation trip to Croatia. During my University time we went to Japan for language school it was during our summer break but was organized by the University (I studied Japanese, that’s why we went there)
When hitoki-san mentioned about wanting to go to the beach, i guess i felt more fortunate for living 10-15 minutes away from the beach by foot (tho we haven't been going recently since it's hard to go out)

In my experience, field trips are for the private schools. I went to private school in middle school and went to public school in junior high school. In middle school, I went to a lot of field trips, from going to a zoo to going to another city. We also have a last year field trip, which are quite fun as well. Rules are quite loose as well, as long as you are with someone that can watch over you, you are basically allowed to do almost anything (of course, leaving the place of stay too far during the field trip is very much a no-no) . In junior high school, yeah less money means less field trips. I still remember that one time during a field trip, where me and my friends were having fun in the public bathroom in the zoo, and my friend lost his underwear 😅
@@Kalani_Saiko me and my friends were playing a game in the bathroom involving throwing underwears at each other, when the bathroom made a noise, we all ran outside the bathroom and the underwear was lost.

In primary the main trips were a 2 day and 1 night in London and a weekend trip to Disney land and Paris. In secondary school we went on a 4 to 5 day trip to London and a 7 day trip skiing in Lake Tahoe, California and going to San Francisco (they also offered another 7 day trip to America to Disney world and NASA. Mine was so much fun too. We were in one of those outback/forest camps near a river. Obviously we got to go swimming, rafting, kanoeing, white water rafting, and they taught us survival skills. Eg. how to tie knots, build a raft (and then put our rafts to the test), build shelters, how to navigate the environment, what plants are edible, etc. It was so much fun. There was also a flying fox that went into the river. One of the activities was they would give us a map, and we had to find all the marks and find out way back (of course in groups with teachers). We also got to play capture the flag at night (actually the funniest thing ever omg), charades, talent show, cook, etc at night time and our teachers were nice enough to let us have a massive pillow fight at night. It was absolute mayhem but so much fun. And the food was absolutely amazing. The day ended at ~10pm and before bed, we were given hot chocolate and cookies. Best 5 days of my life for sure.
i'm now 11th grade and our class not once gone to a trip not even picnic, other classes always do trip or picnic once a year how our class envy other classes... we told we want to do one but our teacher said no now we hope we will have one before we enter college (sorry for my english)
I was planning on coming to japan for my studies . Just wanted to ask you if i would have any problem with food.since i am a muslim and i really cannot eat food that is haram. Is halal food easy to find.? Ps: i luv ur videos

Since Then we haven't been in a school trip , and we were complaining to the school principal to take us to a school trip but it didn't happened, when I was in 6th grade , there were a conversation about school trip to a hilly place ,then the corona came and our trip was cancelled , when I was in 7th grade ,I was in online class so no school trip , now I am in 8th grade and no school trip .and it's been 3 years i haven't went back to my country (vietnam) , i hope In this April I can go back to Vietnam and maybe a small family trip to JAPAAAAN!!!!!

My mom never had enough money for the end of year trips since they were usually involving a flight and accommodation it was always too much to pay for plus have spending money for me. I missed out on a trip with classmates to America( jr high) and Europe (high school).
Almost the only place we went was Saint Petersburg and its suburbs to see different things there, which is ~100-120 km from my hometown. Always returned the same evening
I...I wasn't a naughty boy!!!!! (or was I XD)

...never really experienced school trip... I didn't know it was a thing~
now I regret not going to any of my school field trips
5:03 "...it's like one of my Japanese animes..." 🤣
Like the sweet lives I watched from the anime of the Japanese, there are no such big school trips in Turkey...
I was planning on coming to japan for my studies . Just wanted to ask you if i would have any problem with food.since i am a muslim and i really cannot eat food that is haram. Is halal food easy to find.?

5:06 So that’s the anime accident in real life
A cut angle a cute angel perfect
My mom never had enough money for the end of year trips since they were usually involving a flight and accommodation it was always too much to pay for plus have spending money for me. I missed out on a trip with classmates to America( jr high) and Europe (high school).

In our trips the main rule was not to take ice cream into the bus 😆
Almost the only place we went was Saint Petersburg and its suburbs to see different things there, which is ~100-120 km from my hometown. Always returned the same evening
