I literally had an urge to watch this after seeing a short video on crawfish lol. I searched this word for word "Full length crawfish boil from beginning to end by real cajuns" BAM! this was the first video and boy oh boy am I satisfied
I live 45 mins from dt Chicago... if you go to Masterque, in Merrillville Indiana, they have a few authentic, ayce, Crawfish boils every spring/summer. They're a Ma and Pop Business, and always appreciate the love. Their seafood is the absolute best, you can get any seasonings you want, they even do red meat BBQ... not just seafood boils. I've had their Boil bags 3 times since being in social isolation. Order online, and pick up. Its bomb Bro!!
DUDE i am from the UK and have been DYING TO TRY A CRAWFISH BOIL!!!! We dont have anybody that does them over here. Crawfish dont come around too often!
Dead crawfish are to be thrown away because they rotten pretty quick once they are dead. They smell rotten and taste rotten even when you have already cooked them.
Midnight Cravings what about "hard crawfish", what are those? I've seen some people making crawfish boils speak about that, they say things like "NOT ONE HARD CRAWFISH THIS SEASON".. Does that mean ones that are literally tough? Have you come across hard ones before?
From someone who grew up in the swamps, crawfish boils bring up so many good memories. Like, when our relatives were washing the crawfish, they’d just dump them in a kiddy pool and the kids (me included) would play around and try to pick ‘em up
If you've never eaten crawfish in Louisiana you wouldn't understand, cause no other state does/or can do it better. Grew up there a lot of my life, these broils bring people together for real! Omg I can smell it!
Man you have no idea how homesick you make a southern boy by posting this stuff. Here in Germany you just don't get good old fashioned southern food. But lately crawdads have been popping up in all the rivers. If I can get a license to start trapping....it's on!!
Louisiana style! 1983 while stationed in Texas, I was invited to Mardi Gras. Crawfish, Red beans and rice, Boudin to name a few where my new love! Thank You for the memory Louisiana!

I'm a northern girl who lives in Florida now. I started getting to know someone who lives in Louisiana and he brought me to a crawfish restaurant. My very 1st time trying crawfish and it was the best. I love Louisiana food. That alone made me want to move there.😁
Guys! You HAVE to try this recipe!!! I followed it to the T and I promise to never boil seafood any other way. Excuse my language, but this shit is fire!!!!!

I was born in Florida but raised in Maine and I have never eaten crawfish before. The way you cooked it in this video, it looks so good! Definitely going to have to try it.
Man, got my mouth watering!! This is how i do my crawfish boil.... To get the seasoning completely through the crawfish, cool down and soaking is key... Almost that time of the season baby...
That sure is a mixed concoction of everything in there right to u putting smoked sausagers in it...now thats something id try eating specially with sum bread dipped in that juice..yummm
I really like ur recipe! Never did a boil of any kind I was 18 when Katrina hit and never got the opp to learn from my older cousins. Seeing that it isn’t crawfish season right how would u change or lbs of blue crabs/ and shrimp I should use wanting to do a boil?
With the same recipe add about 2-3 dozens of live or chilled crabs in a hot rolling boil seasoned pot and cook for 10 minutes. At the end of 10 minutes add in your thawed shrimps (5lbs) and cook for another 2 minutes and then turn off the heat or burner. At this point this is the soaking period where you let the crabs and shrimps soak in the flavor for 20 minutes and then serve with some cold beer. Cheers!
Midnight Cravings Thanks so much!! It was a big hit!!! I feel more confident about doing a boil now. I will start preparing with my tools needed to do a crawfish boil next season for my friends and family. I boiled 3 dozen blue crabs and had the shrimp too. Perfect spice!!! The heat was locked into everything. Amazing!!!
he's right he's an amature no salt, doesnt use the basket to put in the pots, cooks his sausage like 2 minutes, hardly any garlic, uses garlic powder? why? all that's in the seasonings.uses butter? you boil all your hard veggies and sausage together for about 20 minutes take them out then boil your crawfish.bring crawfish to a boil ,boil for 5 minutes, turn off fire, then, either add a bag of ice to pot,or begin to hose down the side of pots to stop the cooking process while you let them soak for about 15-20 minutes..
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe! My family loves seafood and eventhough i am allergic to shellfish i try to eat as often as i can just so i can get used to eating these delicious food-
What do you do with the leftover juice/soup? Is it ok to eat/consume? Or is it not worth messing with? I've never had crawfish but "ooh wee" dat looks good.
I cannot wait to go back to Louisiana omg food was absolutely delicious! I am saving this im gonna try it up here in michigan! Hopefully i can find some of the ingredients used!

Hey Midnight Cravings!!! Long time not talk. Your Killer Crawfish Boil has been the staple in our home for the last three years!!! I would love it if you did more "ultimate" feast ideas. You are very talented and know your stuff! I love your Asian cuisine too! I have stolen a few of your recipes. Keep up the good work! 🦐 🦐 🦐 🦐 🦀 🦀 🦀 🦀 😘 😘 😘
Looks yummy. I'm telling you now ya'll need to think outside the traditional flavor box and try putting pineapple slices and cubed up smoked bacon in your boils. The fibers from the pineapple hold up and they get soft while soaking up the flavors. The smoked bacon adds another depth of smoky flavor too. I usually put in Pineapple, smoked bacon, button mushrooms, green leeks, garlic gloves, finger ling potatoes and corn. Give it a shot! If it's not for you stick to the original plan. 😊😋
what is it with people and their incessant need to add pineapple to a perfectly good meal. That's not anymore outside the box than people who put ranch on everything.
Do you know how Pappadeux and some other places where they ads a mystery ingredient to thicken thr water in the boil so you can dip French bread in it as part of the boil?
After they are done soaking you want them sunk down in the bottom of the pot, all that juice aka flavor is absorbed into the crawfish head and they fall to the bottom.
When you cook crawfish their heads get steamed up causing bubbles to build up, thus they float to the top.
