MIDIculous 4.0 is our new iteration of our popular MIDIculous software. It is the #1 learning software ever created. MIDIculous 4.0 will be released on November 23rd. It will be on sale and there will be additional crossgrade discounts for previous users. The iPad version will not be released until later this year or first part of 2021.

Awesome - Is there a way to make the (sharps and flats) D# and Eb display ABOVE the note name D? For some reason D shows above D#/Eb which looks opposite of actual piano keys...
This is fixed in the new version. All note names stay above the respective key. But in your message, you said you want the note name Eb to display above D. Don't you want the Note Eb to display above the Eb key?

Did anyone notice how smooth the animation of the drawbars was? Those little details are what put in front of everybody.

Thank you for the explanation indeed. Can you go further in "vectorizing" of detach-keyz? So, can you make the keyboard transparent, and only played keys which are colored would be visible? In fact, not the keys (white and black), but just the color of played key! After this function is implemented into the Keyz, then you can put this transparent keyz-layer over a webcam video capture where we se the hands and fingers of the piano player on the real keys. And then, we would see how the player press the key with finger and the played key would be highlighted by the - as you emphasize - with the nice color from the detach-keyz. Yes, a similar solution where we can see the MIDI keyboard on the screen above a video capture of a real keys, is already there. In that solution we see always two keyz. MIDI and the real keyboard. Of course, this is already very nice and I really appreciate it work on this way. But if you manage to bring a transparent MIDI keyz over the real keyz and we would see how the player press his finger and the pressed key would be colored. And, there would be only one keyz/keyboard on the screen! No more two keyboards! This would be vector-times-3! :-).
Great, Great idea. We actually already thought of this idea and it almost made the first update, but it's a very easy thing to add. One thing you forgot though. The underlying keys must be a gree screen, because when you are capturing keys with a screen recorder, it still will capture the color of the wallpaper of the computer. So the Keys underneath must be a type of Green Screen to use in your video editor or webam with Greenscreen functionality.
Gospel Musicians : thank you fo the reply. I appreciate very much. You are right. The "transparent" keyz-window would not be transparent after it would be captured by OBS or ECamm. The screen wallpaper would fill it out. Anyway, hope there might be some solution in the future. Keep working on MIDIculous 4 Pro Expansion. I downloaded it yesterday. 👍

I have a question though, has there been anything to address cpu usage? I love this app, and use it for my main practice app, but when recording long videos for youtube, it gets to be intensive.
Jada on Piano Never had anyone say anything about CPU nor have we experienced this. Remember our app doesn’t record. It’s probably your screen capture causing the cpu, because displaying keys is very low cpu.
I'm mad I just bought 3.0 yesterday lol. One thing I didnt like is the aspect ratios of the view sizes. Will there be more 16:9 resolutions or a custom resolution option?
The aspect ratio matches the iPad aspect ratio (2732 x 2048), so that the app is fully cross platform.

Am I right to assume that in order to use the guiatr and bass screen fretboard display you would need some sort of guitar midi controller? Is there such a thing?
Yes....There is no way of knowing what keys correspond to which fret.
I'm having a problem with the colours changing...it closes very quickly the colours options...what's would be having

The only issue i have with this program (or at least the version before this new upgrade) is:
Whenever i want to use it with vst, and click on vst scan overrride to find vsts, Midicolous just stops working.
Any clue? I disabled anti virus, and closed any other program, tried the panic button... no luck till now....
The new version has a Plugin Manager that will allow you to isolate bad plugins and only scan the ones that work.

Not able to download with Macbook pro. Kindly guide us
Just bought it, the pro version! One main problem, when I switch to ASIO on preferences menu in version 4.0, it close immediately, tried several times, and closed without error notification, just shut down. Tried to uninstall the previous version, restart my PC. Still didn't work. I was using the 3.8 free version without problem with WIN10 and steinberg audio interface.
How can I get support?

@@GospelMusicians I play around, uninstall and install it again, open with administrator access, switch to ASIO...and it worked, the plug in VST can appears and done! Not sure why, but it worked well👍

@@GospelMusicians Thanks a lot. The Player says it can play all media files but Pro doesn't say that. Does it mean I have to purchase the Player too? Sorry for all the questions. I want to purchase the software this weekend but I need to know if I need both or just one.

No it doesn't....You can use your own VST/AU
