Trying to bight off more than I can chew is my biggest mistake. I get big visions, just part of who I am, and end up overwhelming myself and running out of space.
Please tell me where in the absolute hell you learned to spill the word "bite"..... b-i-g-h-t....... That's just wild. Oh you get big visions all right. Big visions of changing the English language apparently and making up your own spellings of words. 😂😂😂. For the record that is a real word but a bight is a concave bend or curvature in a coastline, river or other geographical feature.
When growing in a tent, use a 4" vent fan for intake and hepa filter the air. This would create a positive pressure sterile air environment for the cost of a hepa filter and fan. After pressure cooking, I put the medium directly into a monotub hot and used the heat to disinfect the monotub. Ready to inoculate. Almost every video I've seen about inoculating, people aren't using a mask. Gloves are important but, masking is too. Breathe onto a mirror, the exhaled moisture gets into and onto the material people are working with. I'd wager, this specific issue is causing infections.
Yes, positive pressure scrubbed air is the way to go for a grow tent! If you're growing a large amount, a CO2 meter can help dial in how often you need to run your vent fan, and you can then schedule your FAE automatically with a simple timer set up based on your CO2 numbers, or you can get an AC Infinity CO2 outlet to do it according to the actual CO2 amounts in real time! I'd actually say a mask is more important than gloves! With gloves you might be touching things you might not need to touch, and unless you're mixing a tub you basically don't need to touch anything that you shouldn't touch. However with breathing unless you wear a mask your breath will get onto everything. If you're inoculating without a mask, as long as you work quickly and in a sterile manner you'll be fine, so long as you're not doing grain to grain and just doing syringe inoculations. Wet rot is actually going to be a prime indicator of your breathing causing issues, the bacteria that causes wet rot is abundant in our noses and mouths!
Good afternoon. Appreciate the video. Can someone please recommend a book or guide they've found helpful. I'm getting close to ordering my first two bags and would l9ve a go to. Gracias gracias gracias 🙏🏽 ❤️🙏🏽
Al six, lol. HUGE question: why can't the grain go on top of the substrate to make the break n shake "safer," because I failed to create a large gap between them, and ended-up partially mixing, which for sure led to a failure to fully colonize later. *still concerned that the grain is too dry, having used all-in-one and 3lb. **tried another brands grain and while one is 90% after 2 weeks (from LC), the other is just tiny balls of mold.
I have a question...i see you are talking in your grow tent. I think that some of my contamination has came from me breathing in or around the bags. Can you help me understand how our breath can contaminate our grows? Thanks so much for posting this
@@candance576 So contaminants from your body aren't likely to effect your grow once you're to the fruiting stage, or to the spawning phase. You should only be exposing fully colonized material to the outside environment, which is strong enough to keep contaminants at bay and avoid ruining projects. Breathing on exposed mycelium in a fruiting environment isn't likely to contaminate your grow because the bacteria in your mouth/nose/lungs is going to want an environment around 98-99 degrees like our body maintains, which you won't have in your grow area.
The only genetics we offer in house is our gourmet line, on our website we offer our gourmet all in one bags with the option to include genetic material alongside it.
As someone new to mushrooms I appreciate this video 🙂
