My first introduction to the Foo's. I remember seeing this on T.V. and it's sort of changed my life musically. I wish they would go back to making music like this or their earlier stuff.
I pitched this song when a yoga centre asked me if any of the participants knew a song that held a message of personal growth and struggle. Well, here you go... I believe this song can be applied to so many different scenes in peoples' lives. Grohl is stated as a rockstar but I'd say poet as well. "Is someone getting the best of you?" Grohl 2004
Fine performance, but I would've loved to have seen Nine Inch Nails' "The Hand That Feeds," which was the performance originally scheduled for this slot, before MTV spinelessly insisted on censoring them.
They did an amazing job but NIN was originally supposed to perform The Hand That Feeds but got cancelled after mtv found out they wanted to have a pic of George W Bush on the screen
Don't judge me but i hated the attitude of Dave Grohl, lets go to mtv and sing our most comercial song , i admire system of a down that had the guts to troll mtv.
