I’m looking to do a heads and cam job on my C5 here soon. Did you have any instructions for the process bc I’ve never done a job like this before either😅 If you do I would greatly appreciate some help just to make sure I put everything back together correctly 👍
@@Gabby_Downing Keep going, your editing is awesome!!! I need to work on my editing skills ... this UA-cam thing is harder than it looks. I'm going to try DaVinci Resolve once my finger grows back ... got into a fight with my lawnmower ;)
@@Gabby_Downing yeah, the oil pump has an outside bearing surface that (should) be centered, as the inside is star shaped and off center like how a cam lobe works, as it rotates it pumps, but the outside surface is machined fit and usually needs to be shimmed for clearance. Otherwise one side touches the housing and the other side has a few thou clearance. You should be fine though. Guys slap these thing together from the junkyard all the time..
