for those wondering: Chainshots are not heavier than regular cannonballs. Regular cannonballs are just round and therefore travel farther than two half balls with a chain in between. Everytime it spins, it works against its own momentum, therefore it travels shorter.
Chainshots need to be raised higher then a cannonball to hit the same point on a target. This affect is like the chainshot is heavier. I get where you coming from though in terms of the actual Physics going on, just easier to explain for the game purposes :)

Great video, mate! Another recommendation for cannon practice would be the fleet event, it will also teach you how to maintain your ship and get some experience with curse balls so you aren't completely caught off gaurd if another crew hits you with one

My only question ive been struggling to find out is, if im solo slooping. When and how do i know to board and what do i do with my ship instead of hoping it doesnt sail out or dropping the anchor
I board after i hit a few shots on the enemy. Turn your wheel in one direction and raise mast half way and the board. This will keep your ship in a circle and not go out of bounds :)
Some good infomation you got there except there is a few that stuck out. First of all, don't get me wrong the death spiral is good and all but they way you explained it in the video implies that you should use that in every scenario, which I don't think is the case. Yes it spread out the damage to sink faster and keeps you moving for a hard target but there's a big weakness and that being you are exposing yourself to the ememies broadside. This is especially bad when you are fighting for example a galleon where an anchor ball or chainshot can durastically change the tide of battle. For galleons what I tend to do is sit behind them but a little bit off the the side so you can hit their back and part of their side, out of their broad. Another thing that stood out is you said you should send boarders whenever you can which I also do not think you should. Boarding within itself is meant to be a distraction from either repairing, bailing, turning the helm, etc for the other crew. You should board when you need to distract the other crew and not whenever you can. An example of a bad time to board is when your ship is in a state of disrepair. This being that if you die you are basically putting yourself at a disadvanatge by being a crewmate down. You're quite literally jumping off your own boat and abandoning your crew.
Hi, level 25 athena here trying to get the ghost curse why the fuck am i being put against players who already have the curse? where's the matchmaking at? thought it was suppose to be fixed? Doesn't seem very good to have lower levels get railed by people who have alot more experience?
I don’t even know why I watch this , I know about all of this , my sims good and everything he’s said I know and do but I literally can’t do somethings because I’m on a old Xbox so my games constantly freezing when I’m around pc players , low frames , obviously aim on mnk is better so I’m at another disadvantage but I just don’t give up for the sole purpose that I know I still stand a chance even if it’s small
I feel this man! Console players to get it rough. One of my good friends as been playing on console for 20 years plus but still gets crapped on by PC players. Love your dedication man
