I think it's the perfect ship if you just want to have a nice holidays around Stanton. Space for luggage, easy to park anywhere, all the comforts of a real home... Just avoid dogfight, and you'll have the vacation of your life!
IMO we should get variants all should come W/1 S5 weapon, 1med shield and med quantum fuel tank. (except the starter) Like a bounty hunter ship, it should have the cargo area on one side be a cryo bed for captured bounties. Another variant could be a medrunner with med beds, where cargo is now. There could be many more variants, like a torpedo ship with 4 S5, 2 on each side where cargo is or even a bomber varent. All variants should have a higher cost, than the starter. This ship has a lot of potential if CIG handles it right.
I think they add 2 6 months later like they did for the Cutter, hopefully one with a bigger weapon and also a bomber variant, the cargo bays look like the perfect space for a medium sized bomb
This is designed to be a Package Delivery Vehicle! its Fast, easy access cargo skids, lightly armored and very nimble in atmos. Its a new player ship designed to do the one new player game play loop that everyone hates. Running errands! no wonder the ship gets hate:)
The only thing that is holding this beauty back is the firepower. Either upscale it to S4, or add an additional S3 hardpoint (or just two S2 hardpoints). The Amenities are great, the cargo capacity (and potential) is superb and inline with the Avenger Titan. I heard its maneuverability is pretty great. Can't wait to see its pricetag (it better be below the Titan).
Hopefully it will be priced the same as a Cutter/C8X. I agree there should be a little more firepower, a s4 would be good but 2x S3 would look amazing side by side in the weapon shroud area, since it seems kinda empty the way it is right now.
@@igorborracini5722 I hope so, because when it does it only has to compete against 4 SCU of cargo and 2xS2 in the case of the cutter and (C8)2xS1 (C8X) 4xS1. But since we are only one week away from IAE and its release, I doubt that the Intrepid get a Hardpoint upgrade.
Man.. It's got what has to be the best interior for small ships in the game.. I wish they just considered it a touch more.. a bigger gun or a wider cockpit.. or both..
Quintessential runabout ... Looking forward to some variants. With a little work this could be an excellent exploration ship. And I love the design BECAUSE its quirky
Interior is great, that is all that is good about the ship. Gun should have been directly inline with the centerline of the ship. That would give reason for the cockpit to be off to the side even if it is still only a s3. Then make the gun bespoke and fixed and have no spread like all the other weapons in game. A side cockpit like the millennium falcon would then make sense. Gun would divide the ship down the middle, so you enter in about the same location as now, but to the left the hallway would veere a bit left instead of being straight forward to the cockpit. That would give room for the gun. Then to back as now and the hallway would go around the back of the gun to the starboard side habitation. There are sensible ways to do asymmetry and there are CIG ways of doing asymmetry. If this thing is more than $45 I laugh at any purchasers. 100i does just about everything this does, but has double the DPS and unlimted hyrdo. Cutter is $45 and can carry a vehicle and has 50% more DPS and double the missiles.

I don't think it is terrible but I think it has compromises. The Titan fights better and can take a vehicle. I assume they wanted a cargo ship that would never fit a vehicle.
I dont like much the exterior, i feel it will look amazing with a 2 seat cockpit like the c1 and it will make more sense with all the space inside of the ship to have a segond bed and then a copilot/engineer, however, i totaly agree with you, the interior is huge, luxury, it looks less like a hospital and he is way better than the c1

I don't understand why some content creators are giving this ship such a hard time because of its asymmetrical design. They give incredibly ugly ships with Asymmetrical designs like the Corsair the Caterpillar the Harold A free passand indeed even glowing reviews. And they seem to have no issue with crusader's other asymmetrically designed ship the MSR. But this ship they are attacking like no other I actually think it looks rather neat. I only have one legitimate complaint about the ship and I have not had the chance to fly it yet. And that is why did they give it a single size 3 permanently fixed gun. And only 2 missiles. I know this is supposed to be a starter ship. But all the other starter ships can mount 2 and in some cases 4 different size 2 weapons. Unless size 3 suddenly put out much more punch then those size twos could you're actually limiting the amount of damage the ship can deliver. Though I'm told it handles very well with maneuverability. The cargo design is very unique. And the living area is just perfect. I also would've liked to have seen some kind of interactable screen in the kitchen seating. I still hold out hopes that someday CIG will add an in game spectrum channel where we can watch video clips orNews feeds about in game activities along with ship commercials and maybe player made content.
I love Crusader, I have at least one ship of every model. The Intrepid is a Crusader ship in name only. _Some_ Crusader ships have elements of asymmetry on the hulls but _no_ Crusader ships have asymmetrical cockpits or engines. And then there's the components. The gun's not powerful enough to fight, the shield isn't powerful enough to survive running away. The whole ship just fucking sucks. And that is such a disappointment because I wanted to love the ship. I would've loved to ccu to this from my mustang but that single size 3 makes it utterly unusable. It struggles to kill an aurora and also gets nearly one hit from a size 2 missile. Unfortunate that such a cool design is wasted by such a stupid decision from cig.

There's nothing wrong with being different, ugly or even awkward. But a bad, poorly thoughtout design is unforgivable, especially considering the standard CIG set for themselves. The whole design being offset for 1x S3 gun is absurd, especially when it still results in the ship being the most undergunned starter in the entire game. There are lots of ugly ships in the game that are well loved, but the Intrepid is basically the ROC-DS of the skies. maybe don't blast the music while you're not talking? bgm really needs to be more consistent, it feels like it blooms louder than your speaking voice. also, i feel like this ship would be a lot more compelling if it had an s4 gun, instead of an s3. give it an s4, price it around 50 bucks, and she's golden. But if it's 60 or more, people are still much better off with a Titan. Lot more firepower, still has a bed, and a bay you have a hope and a prayer of using for more than just cargo. 4 scu instead of 8, but there ain't a whole lot in the verse you can make money on only moving 8 at a time.
Crusader gave the guy who designed the Cybertruck an 8-ball of cocaine and a box of lego parts, then locked him in a room.

lol ❤
I can't get past the clunky & Chunky exterior 🤮
Too bad... if you manage to get past it you'll find yourself in one of the most interesting interiors of the whole game
Holy crap that ship is ugly! 🤢🤮
Don't worry, this is the first reaction and it is normal. But then time passes and it starts to grow on you
maybe don't blast the music while you're not talking? bgm really needs to be more consistent, it feels like it blooms louder than your speaking voice.
also, i feel like this ship would be a lot more compelling if it had an s4 gun, instead of an s3. give it an s4, price it around 50 bucks, and she's golden.
I'll take this over an architect review any day.
And I'm take this as a welcome compliment, thanks!
When toy water gun meets 2-headed ogre from WOW.
Can we please have not-a-masterpiece, but properly understood instead?
A little nonsense madness tends to make life more interesting. If everything was always linear and understandable, there would be no Bob!
The ugliest ship in the verse.
It has a strong identity and it has character... that is why you can love it if hate it, but you can't ignore it.
Nice try, but it's ugly. Looks like gesture shocker
Better luck next time, I guess! 😁
This is the first ship since 2014 that I've wanted to grab my wallet for, 😙🤌
