Thanks Paul, that was well worth watching! Given how sparsely populated those roads were, I think I'd prefer your experience to that on the Alps trip; the weather was better, but the roads were chocca. Was wondering how Michael tours on his Ducati, when you answered my question. I tested a BMW S1000R only last week, with a view to using it as a lightweight tourer. Contorting myself around the sports bike riding position, I lasted a mere two hours before admitting defeat 😂 Maybe Michael does yoga or something 🤔
Michael has only ever ridden sports bikes, so has been contorted for years😂…he loves them and has several to play with but this one, is main tourer. I can’t get my head around it but he will not be persuaded to try an adventure bike.👍
Hi Paul. Another brilliant vlog. going from 4 degrees to 20 odd degrees is a bit of a shock to the system. wow for the guys in there 80's. Proves age is just a number👍 Ref the bike not starting. i had the same issue with the key fob on my Tiger 1200 gt pro. what i do now is press the button once (i know it defeats the object) lol before starting and i have had no issues since. when i park it up i press the switch till it goes red to save the battery. looking forward to the next episode
Thanks Paul. They are definitely ’young’ 80 year olds…it proves something about biking. Yup, I always turn the fob off when not in use, a new battery solved it, just took a couple of days to get a new one. 👍
Hey Paul. Really enjoying this trip as we are planning a trip to the Dolomites next year ourselves. Your bike seems to have the same problem that other You Tubers have…. Fuzzy speedos at certain times during your rides!!! Keep ‘em coming matey…👏🏻
Thank you for taking the time to comment positively. I’m unsure what is affecting the screen, it only happens at certain times in a day but seems to be getting more frequent 🤔. Work does get in the way of editing, but I’ll try to get Ep3 done asap😊
Nice to see you still managed to upload your footage even with the laptop tech problems. Wish we had longer to put to a European tour, work pressures mean I can only do a max of 7 days away in the summer. Plenty of snow high up on those passes.
Yes, WiFi at hotels is better for uploading these days. It seems limited time away for you is difficult but one day you’ll be able to take a long trip. Thanks for watching my latest vid👍
Apologies for the delayed response...it seems that UA-cam has been restricting comments getting through to me for some reason?! I hope that you have continued to follow the channel👍
Always makes sense for everyone to fill up with petrol at the last petrol station before reaching the hotel, saves the hassle of waiting the following morning 😂😂😂😂
I now only put E5 in my motorbike and car. But even E5 has variations, so I aim to put 99 octane E5 from Shell or Tesco. It makes a notable difference to both vehicles performance, and I'm experiencing improved fuel consumption on both vehicles which offsets the increase in cost. Regarding the bike not starting, do you think the bike has too much unnecessary electronics?
Starting issue was just a poor fob battery. Haven’t had an issue since changing it! I put highest grade fuel now and definitely feels smoother to me. 👍

I always try…but you cannot always.Ridiculous touring range possible, if using an MV or a Ducati🤨
No wonder Paul. You have hitted the “out of season” Selaronda. In the season it would literaly “mollest you” Both - winter an summer. Safe travels. F

You solved the riddle of the sp😂😂eedo units kmh or mph when it started to become blurred!
Is there always a puncture on PEMC trips?
Hi Nicos, thank you for commenting. I think that’s the first PEMC trip puncture that I can remember, that I’ve seen anyway.👍
