Great video, my husband just passed away (he had Lewy Body Dementia) and was 17 years older than myself, I was his 24/7caregiver, he lost his battle on June 20th, 2021. He left me in good financially shape, but I don't want to dip too far into the savings to survive. I did almost exactly what you did, I saw a laser cutter, and got interested. I also started investigating different laser companies. This video was very informative.

I would suggest you put a realistic 'value' on your time. At a minimum: $20.00 / hr. Also, are there any consumables costs, i.e.: laser bulbs, etc., that should be considered in your pricing? Another 'also': Have you included your shipping costs that you incur, when shipping
    product into you business?

Great Video Bonnie. You’ve shared a LOT of good information with us. Thank you.
    A couple questions :
You’d recommend initially buying one of the smaller lasers from AP to do the smaller items like cups? How long does it take to do a single cup with the smaller laser ? Would it be faster using the larger lasers with multiple cups laid out in rows? Did you purchase outright or did you finance through AP?
My situationist I’m a retired disabled police officer and have a small woodworking business but I think if I purchased one of these I could expand my businesses capabilities and make more profit. I’m just hesitant to “buy twice” by getting the smaller one and then having to purchase the larger one down the road. I know you and your husband kind of did that too but What are your thoughts on this issue? Do you guys wish you’d just plunged in rather than sticking your toes in the water first?

Hi there! We are replying on behalf of Bonnie, though we cannot speak to how she and her husband decided on their current AP Lazer machine. Please note that financing options are available to meet your specific needs! On average a cup takes about 3 minutes, it would be a little quicker laying them out using a larger lens due to labor of placing and removing each cup on the rotary but engraving time is about the same.

Hi I had been looking at Thunder lasers and was wondering if you had researched them against AP in your search and if so what made you go with AP?

I checked the Johnson plastics web site and the alder wood is now $6.94 for one sheet of 4" x 24". You said you got 20 sheets for $5.65? or was that for each sheet? there is a difference. 20 sheets now would come to $138.00. Thanks.

Hi! We can't speak for where Bonnie got her file, but here are some sites we suggest for finding DXF files: The Hungry JPEG, DXFSTORE, CNC DesignShop, CNC DXF Files, etc. Hope this helps to find something you like!
