    I add it to sleeping formula and it is the best sleeping aid, also add it to mens balm together with motherwort and essential oil for cramps. Next one is to grow it myself. Thank you, I am deeply diving into all medicinal properties of herbs and lerning latin names and constituents.

    Thank you so much for this! Curious how the oil would turn out differently if you didn’t blend up the hops and oil? I’m guessing it would impact the strength?

    I submerged a bunch of fresh strobiles in olive oil before watching this. Would it work just fine, or should I go another route with them not having been dried? Wouldn't want it to mold / go bad. Maybe let it sit shorter than 6 weeks? Advice welcome.

    Thank you for the video on hops. I have a plant and I didn’t realize there was a male and female plant. I have it in a container and I realize I need to plant it in the ground since I haven’t seen any flowers. As a side note, your sweater is perfect for the hops video! I remembered that you knit also. Is the sweater pattern the Love Note by Tin Can knits? I have that sweater in my queue to knit. :)

      Here's to many hops! Yes, this is Love Note by Tin Can Knits. I've knit this sweater about 7 times. I love it!

    Hi Rosalee, love listening and watching yr herbal info. Have learned so much. Like how u give us just the right amount of history details on each plant.
    I just got an order of hops and excited 2 put it in oil.
    Was wondering if Safflower oil is good? I hear good and bad on most oils. What I like about it 8s it's light in texture and scent.
    Also, is yr link with Cami McBride still available?

      Hi - I have not used safflower oil for herbal oils. I believe Kami's class is closed for enrollment now, but you can try this link:

    Thank you for this great video 🙌🏻✨
    A question. What variety of hops is best to use? There are so many different ones 😅🙌🏻🙃

    Can I combine hops oil with other herb oils 4 sore muscles and pain?

    • @HerbsWithRosalee
      @HerbsWithRosalee  9 місяців тому

      Sure, you can combine herbs. One way to do this in the beginning is to make each herbal oil separately and test them out. Then, when you know you respond well, you can move to a combined herbal oil.

    Hi again.
    My pkg of hops is only 50 gr and I dont want 2 use all of it right now just in oil. It looks good as in I c lots of yellow pollen with the petals. Is the ratio always 1 to 5 for smaller amounts and with a tincture?

    I listen 2x & read transcript; where is "► Why it’s worth intentionally smelling and tasting the hops you’re working with, rather than assuming all hops are the same"

    • @HerbsWithRosalee
      @HerbsWithRosalee  Рік тому +1

      This is referring to there being countless varieties of hops with different taste profiles.

    When I use hops oil sometimes at night on the bottom of my feet I get a strange taste in my mouth ?

    • @HerbsWithRosalee
      @HerbsWithRosalee  Рік тому

      That could be a sign that the hops is being pulled into your circulatory system. The same thing happens with garlic oil on your feet. You end up having garlic breath!

    Hi! Is 50 grams correct? I just measured out 5 grams and that was a lot of volume.. I think 50 grams would be around 2L or more of dry herbs in 250 ml oil..?

    • @HerbsWithRosalee
      @HerbsWithRosalee  Рік тому +2

      I love that you are jumping on the recipe right away! Yes, it's correct, that's why you have to blend it finely. If you don't blend it then you're right, the volume will be huge and you'll end up with a very diluted blend. This makes a 1:5 blend.

      @@HerbsWithRosaleeBeauty! Thank you, Rosalee! Haha yeah, herbs do present themselves when needed.. my husband happened upon a large quantity the same day I was aching and having trouble sleeping. The next day, my dehydrator racks arrived and you posted this video. Way too much "coincidence" to ignore! ❤ thank you for the quick reply, and for all you do!!
