I can’t thank you enough for posting these. There are so many great older programs that never see the light of day anymore, which is a rotten shame. All these talented people, many of them are no longer with us, it’s so nice to see them again.
Loved Albert Tatlock’s character in the early years. He was like a wise uncle of the street Later , he became a grumpy bore. So I treasure these early Corries
@@jacksugden8190Because Ken was married to Valerie,, who was Albert’s niece - making Albert his uncle-in-law - which is the nearest thing that you can get to an uncle when your actual uncles are either deceased or nonexistent - even Deirdre called him Uncle Albert! I have loads of actual nephews and nieces and some of them have offspring - not one of them has my surname, since they are the offspring of my sisters and have their father’s name - and even some of my nieces have their husband’s name, as do the offspring!
Coronation Street was a slum in 1962, a slum now in 2024, at least I never lived in a place like that, about time the demolition crews moved into that street and built some affordable modern homes, modern shop and boozer 🍺.
Because as we all know, modern homes are so much better. Built very well with chipboard floors, stud walls and a thousand and one snagging issues when the owners move in.

Wish corrie could be more like this again.

Another classic episode from 1962. Thank you once again.
1 was 7 in 1962, got memories of that year when my brother was born.
These are so good, thank you!
Excellent episode, thanks for sharing. Albert, what a kind man he is to Susan. Poor girl. What a hero he is standing up to Susan's Dad
Or a crazy old man. Mr Schofield could have beat Mr. T to a pulp.
He was a busy body, he could have reported the father, rather then get involved, still it’s only a soap.
@@happiness4812in later years he goes on about his war record but it cannot be denied he was a man of courage

Thanks for posting.
Poor Jerry! Thanks again for posting.
Gerry was that silly false accent
Did you notice the late Kenneth Cope?
