POV: You just noclipped into Level 33 of the Backrooms. Except I've already been here for an hour or so and have already effectively claimed the sound system as my own, and then turned on the mall's preexisting playlist of music for the sound system.
For those who are curious about the source of these tracks: These are excerpts from the Seeburg Music Library: Mood Music record M7A from 7-1-1964. This Library of music, compared to the other two, usually had a medium-slow tempo, and was specifically used in department stores, hotels/motels, salons/shops, restaurants, country clubs, and cocktail lounges. The music was pumped out of P.A. Systems using a machine called the “Seeburg 1000”, which played 25 (later 28) specially designed 9 inch records that contained 40 minutes of music on each side. After the last record in a stack was played, the machine would “recycle” the records back to the top to be played all over again. These machines were only sold to businesses, and could not be purchased by a regular person. The original video: ua-cam.com/video/IFmQ_G6crMA/v-deo.html
I’m going to try to fall asleep to this. Thank you for making stuff like this, this sorta stuff just strikes a core with me. 2:24am January 23, 2023 Monday
There’s something really ominous and sad about abandoned mall music, it’s like, what good is the music to be played if there is no one there to listen…
I've been searching for something like this for so long. Thank you so much. UA-cam needs more of these cuz they are such a rare but beautiful thing to find
The picture gives me the abandoned ruined mall store when your walking in the mall going to buy stuff it really gives me the nostalgia for some reason....
I remember when I moved into my child hood home with me 5 siblings and parents which means it was a big house there was an old lady who lived there alone and I never met her because she “didn’t like talking” who had never been seen by the neighbors who sold us the house, well when we came to see the house if we wanted to buy it there was a single instrument to furnish the room which means in every bed room only on instrument absolutely no furniture except for her bedroom and just that one instrument per room was for decoration so I never cared but I promise 7 year old me could hear each one every night when I was along in the dark…. specifically from each room almost 3 nights a week and I just got used to this kinda music and feeling even before I got used to the idea of horror so I find this shit relaxing rather then spooky wooky true story tho cross my heart 😂😂😂
"Why does it play this music all through the night?" "My guess, it's been there before that mall was built, so maybe nostalgia?" "Nostalgia?" "For over a decade, people came to it's territory without it calling to them. That music played, people came of their own volition and shopped where it lived without knowing it was there. And just a few that did as well. It misses those days..."
The clicking/tapping noise almost gives tango vibes... like, I could see myself dancing with my girlfriend in this abandoned mall in our soft grunge/pastel academia outfits. Twirling around like the rest of the world never even existed. Carrying on until our feet grow tired. Sure, we'd be scared but, together, nothing could distract us from each other. ... Of course that's considering that I knew how to dance and had a girlfriend and actually had the confidence to go near an abandoned mall and/or even had good style.
To me, it sounds like in a movie, you're the last survivor and the one stalking you kills you inside that dark store, the screams and then silence, credits roll!
@@jinnsangBecause I have no idea how the first song is called myself lol This is a generic 1960's muzak tape, these had no individual song names listed They contain a bunch of songs and are labeled like "Mood library 1" It was forgettable background music, no one cared about the song names
This song makes me feel like there's an animatronic bear who is coming to attack me. Definitely feeling Five Nights at Freddy's vibes on the first one.
