- Itchy Fingers and Clumsy Lover by 1st Battalion Pipes & Drums Scots Guards performed at Friday Night Concert curtain raiser to the 149th Scottish Highland Gathering & Games. Video from San Ramon Marriott, August 29, 2014, and the 1st Battalion Pipes & Drums Scots Guards are led by Pipe Major Ross McCrindle.
I had a little giggle to myself just watching the Pipe Major keeping time...even though there was a drum section playing too. I remembet my old Pipe Major doing exactly the same thing. Tschuess aus Australien.
This is standard practice in pipe bands. Pipe Major sets the time.

Still the single senior regiment in Scotland though, permitted to fly the Royal Standard for Scotland the Lion Rampant too as well as flying the flag above the barracks when the commanders in. Actually the Stewarts (since it's their tartan) since was Marjory Robert I's eldest daughter whom married Walter Stewart (6th Steward of Scotland, the clan being founded by the 3rd Steward is really what Stewart or when Mary Queen of Scots went to France due to pronounciation problems of sounding Stewart was respelt Stuart) together their eldest son became Robert II the start of the Stewart line, making even James VI a distant relation of the Bruce's.
Was Sir Edward Bruce who accompanied James VI to become James I in England as well after Elizabeth I's death, though nothing remains of it now where he lived is why St James's Palace is named that after him (the front bit certainly does but where he lived doesn't anymore).

Scots Guards Standard Settings. Spendy books, but enough material in there to keep you in new tunez for decadez.
Don't know for sure, but might be in Vol. 1. Clumsy Lover is much older than Itchy Fingers, which is Vol. 3.

Both were in Neil Dickie’s “First Book” which looks like it can be found for $15 CDN.
Anyone know where I can find this drum score? I have two itchy finger drum scores but they’re different and far inferior to this one

Warum sie nur den ersten und den letzten Teil spielen von Clumsy Lover, verstehe ich nicht. Das Stück hat 6 Teile. Ansonsten ist es ein gelungener Auftritt.
