So glad for acura existing and taking honda cars from japan and rebadge/remake for the usa/canada market, suck we miss some real luxury items like power fold mirrors, auto or powered adjusted headlights, parking pole ect. As for depo replica headlight they're good and have the right beam pattern for our lhd cars, where jdm we have to aim them to make them safe for driving with, oem should be a standard choice for anyone but in this case there's a small set back based on oem jdm parts.
i just got a set of DEPO/TYC 06-08 headlights and they didn't have the hole for the ballast underneath and the low beam projectors took H1 halogen bulbs.. two wires from the halogen projector went into the socket that goes right under the side marker socket which is filled closed on every HID headlight... i didn't see these covered here but i'm assuming they are from a base model EDM accord?
I painted mines and did a quad HID retrofit on my CL9. Kept the blue defusers. Check them out on my channel for the build video and output. Nice video.
Just saw this comment in my notifications but can't figure out a way to see it "rudyz Regarding the markings on the back, J7 = 06-08 Euro R , and the housing is dark (shadow) chrome. J6 = 06-08 JDM non Euro R (ie CL8/CL9/CM2/CM3), and the housing is normal chrome. The design of the J6 is exactly the same for every other country (except the US), except in Europe and Australia, the marking will be 'E6'. This makes the J7 particularly rare as its a Japan only design. Also, J1 = 02-05 Euro R shadow chrome housing , and J0 = 02-05 JDM non Euro R with chrome housing." This is some very informative information regarding the various headlight identification markings and the differences between them.
All depends on perspective and how they're driven. I get 14 mpg when I'm hitting vtec constantly but I can also get 25 mpg when i'm just cruising on the highway in 5th.
@@twothousanddeep Same here I drive the school and back which is a little over 60 miles and I use just about 2 gallons of gas. Best I've gotten is 32-33
Really!! I have an 04 and I find the car pretty light compared to other vehicles. The fuel economy on those cars really depend on how you drive them it’s not good but not bad either. The one thing I, can say IMO that Acura should have done better was make their engine have more torque. 7 seconds to get up to 100km from a standstill is a embarrassing for what’s suppose to be a sports car.

Yes, those are the E5 or equivalent headlights . I usually import the oem ones from the UK and convert them to HID for people in the US.
The Depo lights are actually HID ready. Depo has a video comparing their brand to the other lesser brand. Depo and TYC are not the same.
awesome video man, keep it comming

I think you meant D.O.T not E.P.A
Sucks that the tsx is not good on gas and it is heavy.

Not good on gas? My city/hwy is 27 mpg. Straight hwy I can get 34-35 mpg.
