I remember being at this show having never heard of them and spending the whole set looking out for somebody with a guitar back stage because I just couldn't fathom how one bass could make that much noise. This year they're definitely one of the bands I'm looking forward to seeing the most!
1:06 Hole 5:51 Come On Over 9:23 You Can Be So Cruel 12:33 Figure It Out 16:26 Little Monster 20:37 Blood Hands 24:05 Love And Leave It Alone 28:20 Loose Change 31:33 Out Of The Black
I was right at the front for this, absolutely blistering set and you knew they were destined for bigger things... shame the vocal mix on this is shocking
@@user-ip6he6rq8c and then after that, Matt Helders wore a shirt with a picture of Ben wearing a shirt with a picture of Matt Helders wearing a Royal Blood shirt
Something very beautiful is going in here the first 2 songs crowd was really "eh" because it was their first time hearing Royal Blood as they introduced themselves to the world, but by the end of the third song and beyond they were cheering like crazy and they had become fans.
Having listened up to 14mins I find it frustrating that the sound guys didn't manage to keep the vocals high enoughin the mix to be heard. OK, quite acceptable to have to adjust for the first song or two, but there are whole stretches where MK's voice disappears. This is Glasto - they should be able to cope wit a loud band - and Royal Blood have a less complex set-up than many acts! Having said that, it's the only slight disappointment within a truly fantastic performance, and by Figure It Out the sound is spot on! :-)
In this instance its not the sound guys fault they split the signal to another sound console the BBC or TV Service operates, at FOH you would of heard it perfectly
+Alan Rodger Royal Bloods guitar rig is one of the most complex out there I'd say, they use loads of amps and have different pedals running with different amps all the time so its very hard to mix them well at concerts and other live venues.
The other replies are bang on; his guitar rig is seriously complex - was even back then - and that particular Glasto stage set up is notorious. Viz, Black Midi last year. There for both. Anyone that witnessed this performance knew that they were seeing and hearing something seriously special. Everyone was blown away. Maaan, they nail it every time. The 2017 PS set was a real step up though. Regardless of how one sees Lars Ulrich’s drumming, you could see he was seriously impressed from the stage left. And anyone that gets an award from Jimmy Page is, well...
He sounds a lot like someone (vocals) but I'm having a hard time pinpointing it. Esp. in 'figure it out' I was thinking Robert Plant but that's not it. Hmmm
Like the sound of Catfish and the bottlemen, Foals and the 1975 merged into one? We could be the band for you! Please check out the new music video for our new single 'Hurry'! ua-cam.com/video/HLKgvQpqMR8/v-deo.html

Paul Dante It's still out. It's called (Japan Edition). +3 tracks, including Hole. :-)

Who the f*** was mixing this at Glastonbury? You can barely hear Mikes voice half the time.

Alan Rodger and also the bass amp is mixed too quiet

I was there, and the sound was perfect. Definitely an issue with the broadcast
