It's important to remember, people that do speed paintings either compress the amount of time to show the whole process and/or they've been drawing and painting for many years.
32:00 WOW that's impressive for a half hour tutorial, this guy is awesome 32:16 *he literally takes big gray brush and proceeds to destroy entire painting*
This was finally a good tutorial for beginners, thank you so much!! I've been searching for days for a simple tutorial but all i found was speed-paintings for professionals... You saved ma life
it is ok to show us diifferent things too, dont worry :) there is no a tutorial detailed like your videos on youtube. This is what I looked for. Thank you. I subscribed :)
Very good, detailed art and well explained tutorial keep it like this ! Maybe next Time you could do Water effects, just a suggestion if you dont have any other idea you'd like to do in particular :) Btw just you drawing is very relaxing to watch :p
i have quite a short attention span, so i'm not very good at watching long tutorial videos, but you have such a lovely voice its hard to not listen!!! a super helpful tutorial, so thank you very much :)
28:46 Appreciated the Suits reference my friend :) Absolutely love the way you paint. You inspired me to buy a tablet but it's quite a steep learning curve. I'm trying to wrap my head around it though...
11:00 this is an important tip regarding clouds. It's very obvious, but often missed when I paint clouds. The clouds have the illusion of volume when the lower portions of the clouds are slightly darker than the tops. They would appear too flat otherwise.
Still watching in 2019 - wow great piece of speed work. I actually prefer Walid's cloud atmos and first version to the photos final version - brings it closer to the viewer.
Thank you so much for posting this. i think i learnt a lot from it and more so about other things when you veered off course too !! Its been a while that i watched a tutorial which made me giggle like a 3 year old. The way you paint sparked a new aspect in my head about what Art is all about. Creating mountains, sunrise, clouds almost felt like as if Artists have a God like power to spawn something out of thin air , mold it and then erase it to create something new again. :D
That's exactly how I feel too. Mining the fertile veins of creativity that God placed deep inside each of us. (Not religious but I appreciate good sentiments. :))
First comment ever :) I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to put these tutorials together. I have been using Photoshop for years, but am very new to digital painting. Your videos have been enormously helpful. They're clear and easy to follow. Your brush pack is great too! Thank you again! I'm looking forward to any additional videos you might add!
Wauw this is awesome! I like to draw/scatch a littlebit, thought digital drawing is a bridge to far, but seeing this now.. maby Ill gve this a try too!
I love watching your tutorials. A request for upcoming tutorials. Can you touch up on how you pick your colors for the fore/mid/background? You talked about it very briefly here at the 2:20 mark. For me, color choice has always been my weakest ability and so the end result's drawing may be correct, but the poor color/value choices ruins it.
Hi! I'm happy you like it. And you can be sure that I will be making MUCH more! My free online course in Photoshop for concept artists will soon be out, and I am making many more other tutorials and also a full concept art online course for people wanting to get into it more on their way to becoming great artists! :) Stay tuned!
Thank you! I am far from his level of awesomeness though. :) I am working on the course right now. It will take a little while before it's up and running, but stay tuned! Best, W.
man you're amazing, I've learned tons of things from you :) thanks for everything . but could you please do a painting about buildings and castels and that kinda stuff :) thanks again
Another really useful video. Thank you very much. I would appreciate a video on architecture and lighting buildings, your 365 days of painting thing was full of dramatic lighting or buildings and when i pant buildings they never really seem to sit well in the rest of the painting. Especially if i paint then surrounded by foliage. Anyway, just a suggestion, it might be a bit too specific but i thought it was worth a try. Thanks again, this is great stuff.
Great tutorial! real brilliance. Do you mind sharing the brushes? Also since you are an expert, do you know a good collection of brushes for ProCreate? Thanks again!
It's not human to paint as good as that in 40 minutes.
@Brandon bob ross is a god
only a legendary few are gifted with such powers
It's important to remember, people that do speed paintings either compress the amount of time to show the whole process and/or they've been drawing and painting for many years.

Hahah that's a funny comment! xD
That was just a "happy accident"
This was incredibly helpful, thank you! To see simple concepts as lighting, volume and highlights connect together like this helped a ton.
I just gotta say, your voice is so wonderful.
I'm happy you think that! Thank you. :)
