When I see the humble 747 at SGN. I always see the beautiful looks on the Queen of the skies the nose door opens during loading, and I know that its a common sight there, a couple of years on I still remember when the 747 arrive at Tan Son Nhat. But sadly, I don't know how to face the truth is when the 747 is not flying to my home city anymore, but overall when I see the 747 again I know it will fly, again. I used to see it a lot but now I still remember the beautiful 747-400 or 747-400F arrives at around 9:15am [VN Time]. For any flights, I will miss the 747, thanks to cherishing the memories.
So sad to see her leave. Why don't you order the 747-8? It's a modern 747. I would really be happy to hear if you order the Boeing 747-8I and the 747-8F. I don't like how the Airbus A380 looks, I'm a Queen of the Skies fan. so sad to hear that you're retiring the 747-400. I want to see your airline fly the 747-8.
Let me answer to you right here 1. For Taiwan market, 4 engine jet is to expensive for any airline 2. From the document from China airline (they have 747-400 for passengers before/cargo now), the net profit is lower than 2 engineer 3. EVAGREEN(hanger for EVA AIR) it's not enough for two 747-8, that means repair time will be increased, that means EVA AIR must decrease the flight for time for checking. 4. In Taiwan, aircraft full carry chance is very low, even in Chinese New year or any holiday. 747-8 although can carry lots for passengers, the full carry chance will be more lower.
