No one and I mean no one of today or yesterday can solo and improvise like Stanley on the electric bass. He gets his credit, but not properly all the credit he deserves. What a great band.
I'm a big Richie cotton fan and I know he's one of the most dynamic plays of this time but to see him play with Stanley Clark and fit in the violence and the keyboard is so well. He's just brings my opinion of him. Far greater than it was an amazing guitar player richie
Just saw RK last month w his trio…what a talent, unreal. Also a big RTF fan from their early work…Hymn of the 7th Galaxy a desert island album for me. Seeing these 2 monsters together is so cool, gives ya hope
the real music never gets the big #'s so don't judge by that, they don't know where to look for it bc they're following the herds like sheep...they don't know it exists for whatever many reasons. so share it!
His choice of the bottom note in his chord changes always ripped me up. Fucker holds down the bottom and explodes it. Right in the reproductive organs.
around 1999 they only had the 1 album and tour , i was lucky enough to see them at The Old Fruit Market during the Glasgow Jazz Festival just brilliant
@@iainmorrison7501 I wish I could have seen them.. I don't recall them playing near where I live. I did however meet Lenny White a couple of times, and spent a little time hanging out with him..
@@Oneness100 i was at a concert in Aberdeen and the PA failed so lenny did a drum clinic instead and had a question answer session it was totally different but he had a few good stories
9:19 here Kotzen makes a mistake in the melody but brilliantly that mistake turns it into something incredible, the musical quality is incredible, he makes a mistake however it feels like he's not wrong, richie you are a guitar genius
Richie Kotzen and Stanley Clark together on the same stage. Flat out amazing.
That's what I like Richie Kotzen; he thinks outside of the box, he can play anything and any style.
Yes Richie can!
'After the Cosmic Rain' & 'Toys'. 2 of Stanley's all time best compositions

Stanley Clarke, and Lenny white are the pure genius behind all this, they were doing this when most of you were still in nappies
