On the Cyber warfare aspect of it: Here in Romania every company has meetings about cyber security. The ammount of phishing and ransomware that's floating about is insane.
The Second Cold War is going strong and we're all soldiers in it.
Pretty common in US business. Your company’s IT department will send phishing emails to try to fool people and then train them. We also have mandatory trainings.
Also depends on what your company does. My last company made consumer products so we weren’t much of a target but that did make them vulnerable and they got hit. My current one makes critical machines so it’s taken more seriously
Don't forget about attacks on our water systems and electrical grid along with BRICS ditching the U.S. dollar.
Yeah, in LT we call it just Hybrid War, because 80% of CSec related atacks are BY/RU based. And often times - paid by gov.
Not the crossover I was expecting but goddamn am I here for the awesome

This is where I come for my guilty interventionist indulgences
For my many criticisms of Americas mistake in interventions. I always ponder. What country who actually has the power to be the “world police”. What superpower would actually do a better job? I can’t think of a superpower in the history of the world who would do better than America. We fk up a lot, and as an American I thinks it’s good to critique our foreign policy mistakes to try and push our officials to govern based off of our voice. But I sure as hell am happy china or the old British empire isn’t in charge of the world right now.
@@enriquecrespo2650 well so far China's approach of avoiding forcing their political beliefs onto other countries and keeping their foreign relationships more based on business than ideological considerations has been so far better for Africa than the US ever was. Granted it remains to be seen if China maintains that approach once it overtakes the US as the most powerful country in the world.
@@askeladd60 China is just doing trade, not world policing. Without free press and accountability, China would be 10 times worse than the US.
@@askeladd60I think China is doing their best to maintain goodwill to expand their influence but eventually the time will come where they abuse their influence just like we made the mistake of doing.
@@enriquecrespo2650 What makes you think there should be a world police? Also, do you not realize in our constant attempts at more power we create most of these issues. The CIA staged a coup in Ukraine to put in place an anti-Russian government as opposed to the previous pro-Russian government. All this sabre rattling from Ukraine created this tension that popped off into a war and now the military industrial complex can profit off of a prolonged proxy war that will be fought to the last Ukrainian (literally).
Your IMF and africa commentary is so cringe and bad. A country goes to the IMF if they are running out of foreign reserves to pay for imports(food, fuel, medicine) or is about the default on debt payments.
The IMF will tell the country to reform their shit economy which got them to borrow from the imf in the first place.. such as privatizing government owned firms (government officials steal from them), stop borrowing to make fuel and food prices cheaper, and stop inflating your currencies' value.
Privatization is a horrible strategy to get an economy back on the rails, it's effectively the strategy of selling off what works and is valuable to fill a hole that will only get deeper now the main income is sold off. The IMF's purpose is not to help struggling countries, it's to stabilize the world economy for the benefit of the big players. Thats not me saying that, thats Christine Lagarde. If you keep that in mind while loaning from the IMF, good for you. If however you are not in a position to hold that in mind, expect to be pecked clean by the IMF as they force your country to sell off anything that could long term make them recover from economic regression.

About 35 minutes in, Destiny says, "Why is it that we can go to almost any country in the world, and they speak English?" ... and says that the answer is the USA.
No. It was the British Empire that created that state of affairs. The reason billions of people in India, Africa, and several other places speak English is that they lived under British rule for generations, and received their education in English.
He then says slavery disappeared around the world because of the USA. Also wrong. The British shut down the Atlantic slave trade and abolished slavery in most of Africa, as well as other places, in the first half of the 19th century.
By the time the USA became abolitionist, the Atlantic slave trade was already dead.
Just switch it to the anglosphere, and it’s all fixed

The main reason we funded the civil war in El Salvador was because the soviets were backing the insurgency. So we did help create Ms-13 but we didn't intentionally
Yeah brother. But SU did not start the Revolution. It was the result of terrible material conditions mostly a product of domestic Oligarchs maintaining a cheap workforce for US Corporations. SU armed them, but US capitalist policy towards SA is what started the Communist movements.
Like Castro constantly repeated:
"We were Cuban Nationalists. US policy towards Cuba made us Marxist-Leninists."
@@TomislavPuklin-wz1bl hard to say if the USA just letting the USSR export Communism freely would have led to a better outcome for the USA. Some how I doubt it.
@@Josh-vc8lr You are not listening. During the Cuban Revolution, Castro was not Communist. They got farmer support on 'land reform' but the land was bought up by US and US-Cuban oligarchies so they had to nationalize. Castro said to Nixon, we can trade, work together and we can also pay for thr land, but nationalization has to go through because that is what we promised and that is what gives us legitimacy. US said, you can pay for all of it in cash and now or we embargo you. At which point embargo went through and USSR picked up the tab on sugar exports. That is the beggining of Cuban - Soviet relations. After Bay of Pigs, Castro said: "We are Marxist - Leninists."

Yeah I noticed that. Like Ukraine has zero agency
I'm sorry you have a giant hostile empire on your border but countries with giant hostile empires on their borders need to be extra careful that's just how it works.
He's also wrong. Russia didn't do the invasion because of the US training Ukrainians. Putin tried to stop Ukraine from getting into a beneficial treaty with the EU making them less dependent on Russia when he was trying to turn it into another Belarus. Putin invaded because his silent takeover of Ukraine was violently rejected. After 2014 there was no way for Putin to realize his goals without an invasion to take Ukraine. And so he invaded.
People have been deceived by Putin's act in the beginning of his reign. It should be clear by now that Putin and his KGB friends took over Russia with the goal of turning it back into a dictatorship and to take back old possessions.
@@nsbadgrapple60 Extra careful? What the hell does that mean?!

Chris Cappy from Task and Purpose showing again how little the average infantryman knows about anything.
It's actually painful how he is the social media representative of an entire class of people.
The Taiwan issue seems vastly more consequential and crucial than even the Ukraine war or Israel-Hamas war. The geopolitical ramifications are huge, and the economic impact would be massive as well. A United States that pussies out and leaves Taiwan to the buzzards while America crumbles into isolationism would be a disaster. It would be an unavoidable signal to the rest of the world that the US is not capable of fulfilling its role as the world's biggest superpower anymore, and that we're an undependable ally. We cannot afford to drag our feet on Taiwan like we have with Ukraine.
Not really, we don't even 'officially' recognize Taiwan as a country, and we're already moving the semiconductor manufacturing back home, so we're not as dependent on Taiwan as you might think.
We are still a ways behind in terms of TSMC lithography processes. Intel and Samsung have said as much. I believe pat gelsinger said it's another decade or so before they reach current standards, which means we will always be playing catch up with TSMC.
@@onlyfacts4999 it's exactly the same principals involved with North and South Korea. None communist South Korea has become a democracy should they let it just fall to the North Koreans? Mainland China is just a dressed up big north Korea that made false overtures that its economic reforms would led to political reforms as well. Now the USA has been tricked into sponsoring their rise. CCP won't stop with Taiwan. It's already clashing in South China sea with Philippines and in the boarder areas with India and Bhutan. You don't think it wouldn't also want Australia with only 27 million for a whole subcontinent. It's already invaded Tebet and distroyed Hong Kong democracy.
Israel is WAY more vital since the US wishy washy approach has emboldened China, Iran, and incites Arab nations to pivot to China.
