►How to get unlimited internet for 2 hours with Telcel for 15 pesos (75 US cents aprox.)
1. Have an unblocked phone
2. Buy a Telcel 'prepago' sim card from (OXXO, Telcel shop etc).
3. Buy a 'Paquete Amigo'when you get your SIM (it may be included depending on which SIM you buy). This NOT the 2 hours internet deal. But you need to have an active 'Paquete Amigo' to be able to use your credit to buy the 2 hours internet. For example, a 50 pesos paquete gives you 1 week of whatsapp and some data. If you don't have an active paquete then you can't buy the 2 hours unlimited internet.
4. Add 'Saldo Amigo' (credit) to your telcel sim card. You can do this at OXXO, all Telcel shops etc in cash. With saldo you can purchase certain digital products via SMS.
5. Send an SMS with the words ILIM15 to the number 5050. You'll get an SMS back confirming your 2 hours unlimited internet has begun.
6. NOTE: If you use up all your regular data from your Paquete Amigo then the 2 hours unlimited internet WON'T work. You need to be sure that you still have some regular data. In the past I've wanted to have, for example, 4 hours (and do the 2 hours twice). But I've accidentally gone past the 2 hours, and then it converted to my regular data and used it all. Then I couldn't buy the 2 hours internet once again (without buying a new Paquete Amigo). You don't lose the saldo to buy the 2 hours internet. But you can only us it again to buy the 2 hours internet if you still have regular data allowance left.
Another video for you all!!! The UA-cam algorithm is not giving me the love like before (because I was away for so long). So a like/share/comment is appreciated. It will help me greatly because it will tell UA-cam to promote my new True Mexico video. Gracias! 💚🇲🇽
One tip to cheat the YT algorithm notifications: If you are subscribing but not getting noticed even if all your notifications are on, you must unsubscribe and suscribe again and activate all notifications 🔔 button. That works for me in many channels in that situation. Tío Paul, como michoacana recomiendo para elegir un buen 🥑 busca el que tenga la piel más lisa y sea menos redondo, significa que fue cortado en su punto y al madurar será smooth as butter 🧈 😍
Thanks uncle Paul. Another life hack is said I'm watching this video too late because UA-cam never notify me on time ! 😇 😉
@@elinorbaker Chingon. Gracias amigo!
@@MarcoG70 Ufffff. I loved the days when UA-cam always notified you of all new videos.
@@TrueMexicoyes. Sorry. It is what it is my friend!😗
Another upload so soon ? Oh Tío Paul, you are spoiling us.
Another way to make the avocados ripe quickly is put them in dry rice or dry beans.
1. Learning Spanish. At least in Mexico City, things are changing so fast all the time and while we try to be friendly with anyone visiting, there's a growing feeling that many are being disrespectful with locals and pushing them away and not speaking Spanish is the most important of all, since not everyone speaks it. You'll get sorted if you know some basic words and phrases and act polite.
No need to know Spanish but Being polite will open most paths.
We love talking to people from far places, if you want Can speak Spanish it's easier to make friends though.😁🇲🇽
Sadly there's been a huge influx of people from the US who think they're better than Mexicans and want to change things their way, they forget that they're in another country and they come here fleeing that exact way of life there trying to impose...Texas comes to mind, that's how it was stolen
Does this apply to “Ugly Americans” who demand “speak my language” peasant?
I wish everyone would converse in the English language here in the United States.
Dear Gabriela Carbajal: The "anyone visiting" to whom you refer are your typical spoiled self entitled White Americans with whom I've interacted my whole life. White Americans, and White Westerners in general have NEVER had any respect for any other People in the World. Your emphasis on learning Spanish reminded me of a political novel written in 1958 named "The Ugly American". It was basically a portrayal of White American Businessmen and Diplomats acting like Condescending Social Pigs wherever they traveled outside of the Western World. One of their most prominent attributes was their refusal to learn the native language of the country they were visiting. They expected everyone else in the World to learn English. That novel was written 60+ years ago, but your comment confirms for me that White Westerners are still Condescending Social Pigs even to this very day.
Glad to see true Mexico season 2 has just arrived looking forward to it keep up the great work
Thank you!!!
The trick for the 500 note is taking it directly to the bank for smaller bills. Also turning 100 pesos into only coins with the bank is the best trick to always have change for buses and trinquets on the street.
For me, the banks aren't that convenient because of the long lines. I only go to the bank when it opens at 8:45am and I walk right in, I have changed 500s that way too.
The king is back with 2 vids in a row! Life's never been better. ✨
Thank you 🙏!!
Paul: great video! You are truly becoming one of us.
Next Mexican hack: fliping a totrtilla on on an open flame using your fingertips without burning yourself...
Small business and street food tend to reject the 500+ bills unless your ticket is above or nearly their value for another reason, not just so they don't run out of change.
It is because the 500 Pesos note has always been the most counterfeited one. And delinquents try spending little to get more real change, so buy a water bottle 20 pesos, and get 480 real Pesos in return. Smaller business have a harder time testing the notes, Walmart on the other hand has lamps and markers to spot them.
But if your total in near the 500, maybe 460 and you pay with a 500, the business knows it is less likely to be a fake because they won't give much cash in return; of course you got the merchandise/food but at least they wouldn't be double-stealing.
And also: AVOCADO DOWN!
Hola tío Paul. Bienvenido otra vez a UA-cam! Me encanta tus videos y ¡Siempre me haces sonreír! One tip for living in Mexico is to always by your meat and produce at local markets or stores. You get much better quality and you pay a fraction of the cost. Plus you were helping the local population instead of making mega corporations rich!
Well said carnal!
@@TrueMexico Hi Uncle Paul where have you been ? you went back to england and came back to Mexico ? by the way I know that place where you ate the torta pachuqueña I work near by is outside from Chilpancingo metro station and Metrobus Chilpancingo saludos Glad to see you back
When I only have a 500 pesos bill, I usually go to Starbucks and I buy a coffe or a Panini sandwich, they never refuse to give you change. Another option is to deposit the 500 pesos to my account in the ATM and then withdraw a lower amount e.g. 400 pesos, so the ATM give me two 200 pesos bills.
A treat to see two videos in one month!
Jaja. More to come!
I really appreciate your videos on Mexico Paul I might go back to Mexico soon, I'd to start over my life somewhere else, I'm 17 but I've felt so stressed out and I've also gone through an Identity crisis
Que bueno volver a ver tus videos 😃
Gracias!
I cannot even describe how absolutely perfect the timing is, for this video, with all the various, very specific things happening in my life, right right now!!! LOLOL.
I feel like I accidentally summoned him back from the abyss 🤣🤣🤣 it is THAT perfect and relevant 😌😌🙃
Am looking forward to the new vids mate 💚💚💚💚💚 ^.^
Awesome! I'm happy to read that amigo
You must try the Pachuqueña in a torteria in the corner of Veracruz street and Avenida Chapultepec, near to the metro, It is soooo tasty. More with chipotle, and pierna española. Canasta tacos are delicious too.
The 500 peso thing is ridiculously true. Oxxo is especially notorious for this. It makes billions, but literally never has any change.
Tengo que asegurarme que haya comido antes de mirar tus videos porque luego se me antoja todo la comida que veo. ¡Realmente conoces los mejores sitios donde comer alrededor de la ciudad!
I have to make sure I’ve eaten before watching your videos because then I get cravings for all the food I see. You really do know the best spots to eat at around the city!
Jajaja 😂 y siii
Tip no. 2, the best hack I've ever heard for foreigners (or anyone, really) in some real need for internet connection!
You know that sinking feeling of bad wifi in a hotel room!
mexican bioloigst here. i can clear that avocado question for you: the paper, be it a paper bag, napkin, newspaper, acts like a sponge for the hormone that makes the fruit ripen. and being a spongy surface, the ammount of hormone throughout the surface in contact with the avocado stays constant. making it a nice black soft avocado, ready to put on your tacos, right before the green salsa
*Today is Thursday so I suspect the new video is coming again?*
*Yes learning Spanish is one of the basic things to do, some people think that is fine with the basic words until when you really need it in case of emergency*
Great to have your videos back!
I'm really starting to like this channel
Great to see you back Paul! I always enjoy your videos, excellent production and content. ☮️❤️😎
Thanks for your kind words !!
Ya te habías tardado,
Que bueno que estés de vuelta!!!!!!!

Might go to Mexico for a Vacation next year. Love your videos Paul
Thank you so much!
Beauty is in the eye of the beef holder.
Thank you and welcome 😃
That torta looked AMAZING! And completely agree... breaking a 500 peso note is a common activity!
jaja, you know the feeling!
You can also walk up to the service window and ask the bank teller to change it for smaller bills. You don't have to make a line for this, just walk right up as soon as someone finished with a customer. Hold the note up asking"¿Tiene cambio?"
@@CURRYBOH Not all bank tellers will do this (especially if it's not your bank) but also depending on where you live, the bank lines can be ridiculous! I find it easier to just know which stores/restaurants tend to be able to break the larger bills, and time it with an actual purchase I need.
Tío Paul, gracias por enseñarme tu idioma. 😍
De nada!
Can’t believe you are back Paul, I really missed you :,(
Thank you!
Yep the lovely 500 pesos note. Love them but when I was paying a bill no one would want them except taxi drivers!🤣🤣🤣
Hey Paul, the torta looks good, and thanks for the avocado tip, saludos desde Houston.
Hello! I recommend you to find out if there is a tianguis (like a market on wheels) near where you are staying. In it, you can find fruits, vegetables, and of course, delicious avocados ready to eat at a very good prices. Cheers!
Of course! I know of a different tianguis for pretty much every day of the week all within 10-20 minutes walking
@@TrueMexico That's great! Thanks for the little heart!

Tio Paul, I really enjoy your videos. It's great to see you back!
Great to enjoy new True Mexico videos Paul😀, I usually try to go to any bank for getting $500 bill change, because right...barely no one wants outside gives you change🤦🏻♀️, saludos!

Thanks for the kind words!
Man, you come back in the best moment, I miss your videos, your voice is so clear, it's cool to learn 💖
Awesome !
You are back!!! Been missing your videos.
Thank you!
I have a another hack regarding the notes.
Although annoying for the people waiting behind, it really comes in handy: withdraw $250 + $250 + $250 + $250. That way you'll have smaller notes.
Another hack, I call it an as*hole hack, but it works as well: if there is no ATM machine near, no body is really looking forward to break down a $500 note for you, you just start eating whatever you purchased before paying it. That way, the tortaman forces himself to go out and get the $500 broken down. Yes, like a said before, a really as*hole move, but it works.
Tío Paul!! Just send the algorithm some delicious tacos de canasta to be on it's good side! 🌮🤖
Genius idea!
Great content, welcome back!
Thanks a lot amigo!
Well done-thanks
Thanx Paul! I didn't get notification for this video so I clicked bell... so everybody make sure you've clicked the bell for all notifications, and happy days it is.
Thank you!! UA-cam isn't giving me the love. But I'll persist!
So glad you're back!
Yaaay🎉🎉 already another new video! Thank you tio Paul❤
You are the best!!!!!!! So good!!! Have a great one!!!!!!!! Cheers!! 😃
Thank you. I'm moving to Puerto Vallarta
Hola Tío Paul. Qué bueno que estás bien.
Gracias carnal!
My tip is to be the Grey Man. Go on street view for the area you are going to and see how people dress and interact. Try to get similar clothes. If no one is wearing shorts don't wear shorts. Be very polite and respectful of the customs for that area. Smile a lot and great people as you are walking. Don't take yourself seriously. Learn and practice your Spanish it is fun to learn a new skill and it opens so many doors for you and it gives a lot of the locals a chance to practice their English that they had to learn in school. These are all lessons learned working with my wife selling in the flea markets in central Mexico and developing a huge friend pool from it.
I am Mexican and I was not aware about that paper bag lifehack hahahaha. However We used to envelop Papaya in news paper to make a similar trick
All the hacks mentionated by aunt paul, are true, is much better get fruit and vegetables in street, because its people who produce its own products, the solvence its also very important to get not only food, the transportation here in México City it's payed by exact change, like metrobus, bus, and metro, so its important get change to have a better experience, if you visit it.
Thanks Paul for this hacks, and by the way, Telcel should pay for your good advertising :)
Exactly!! Always better to support the local sellers over bug business!
I echo all the others... great to see you back :)
Thank you!
Ayyy we back !!!
Glad to have you're videos
Thank you!
Welcome back, Paul! Hope you've been doing well in interesting times.
Thanks Eric. You too!
Keep the videos coming Tio Paul 🙌🙌

Genial tío Paul Is Back !!!!
Tio Paul, ya te extrañaba!!!!
Great channel!
Chido, chido, chido
Awesome!

Ese Pancho Villa ! 🍻
I had a strange thing happen at a Santander atm, The machine was out of 500's and gave me a pile of 200's that barely fit in my pockets.
I love it when they do that and msg my friends that a certain atm is spitting out 200p notes.
I’m lucky. The Tianguis I go to has a guy who will pick out your avocados for you according to the day you’d like to eat it. Yes, the 500 peso bill is a problem, so I’m always in the lookout to use them in places that can change them.
That’s awesome!
Glad to see you back, Paul. Too late, I'm moving to Thailand.
Enjoy!
Yay! You are back!
Can confirm about the 500 peso banknote.
Great video Tio! Great advice!
Thanks!
Holy shit it’s alive!
I'm surprised you couldn't break a 500 in a OXXO. I only had trouble at one OXXO in Chiapas. All the other ones have accepted it with a small purchase.

Life hacks in a daly basis are part of mexican genious uncle Paul! 😎
Tienes razon carnal!
I carry a small change purse. You always need 5 to 10 pesos for public banos.
I gotta say, the big bill issue is incredibly annoying to me. I get dirty looks from cashiers any time I use anything larger than a 100 peso bill. Something that works for me, but is honestly very situational, is going to a supermarket. They pretty much always have change. I-m not a jerk about it, getting just some gum or something, but it is a necessity at time.
I was going to say something in the video about this but didn’t. I do that too - but I always hide other notes in my wallet when getting out the 500. They are cheeky and will look in your wallet and ask for that. So another tip: hide the other notes in your wallet.
Change the big notes at big places such as OXXO, pharmacies. Most of the time they have change.
Also, NEVER pay bus or short trip cabs with something bigger than 100-200.
Love you're Chanel 🥳🥳🥳
Thanks!!
Carry lots of small denomination Peso notes. Not even the Walmart in Mexico can easily make change for purchases made with 500 Peso notes.
You are back!!!! You were gone right? Anyway i used to translate parts of your videos.
