I love this. I agree that it’s entirely up to each individual how they want to spend time in their caravan. For me my caravan is a way of travelling whilst keeping all my creature comforts with me. I can enjoy exploring new places & activities but still return to my familiar home-from-home and watch Corrie with a cuppa and a cheese toastie 😌
Absolutely brilliant . Your so kind and helpful. My partner is quite poorly and will be able to be entertained in our motorhome whilst I plod about . Brilliant thank you so much for sharing this with everyone
My partner & I are total newbies but will have to wait for new car before we can venture out (current one will not pull our caravan) anyway forget that just wanted to say we didn’t want to be buying a TV for it & we can stay in caravan where it’s currently parked so this will be a godsend thank you Tanya!
Fantastic review i what a product getting one of them its a pain retuning the TV only to find the picture breaks up halfway whatching a program hope someone sent you this to review if not they need to wake up your reviews are spot on even a half witt like me understands them
Awww thank you so much. Sadly I’m too much of a baby channel to garner any interest from companies but that does mean I get to muddle my own way through lol
Hi can you confirm has anyone successfully connected via an android platform? I ask as I'd hate to but tablet and not work. Guess I could try my phone 1st.
Well I’ve never yet encountered a situation where it hasn’t just worked so I don’t know whether we’ve been in poor reception areas or not as I haven’t needed to check. It just always finds me some telly to watch lol
hi...what tablet you using with your august 405? as with my samsung galaxy tab2 dont work,it finds the transmitter and connects but never comes up with search or any channels i think its not compatable?...yours is a good explanation ,thank you.👍
Hi just had a August 405 delivered and trying to set it up, when i go to the download, it tells me this app isn't available for your device because it was made for an older version of Android, I've tryed it on a much older tablet and a newer one with the same result. Any ideas on how to fix.
forgot to ask when charging the august do you keep it switched off or on..?..if i leave it switched off it dont show any sign that its charging ..thank you.
It’s the same as any tv Ariel which enables you to watch BBC. Yes, you need a tv license. Even watching the BBC via streaming etc requires you to have a tv license

I haven’t had a need to, to be fair. It has worked great for me ever since I bought it.

Yes. You can keep it on charge while using it. I often do

Hi there again Tanya,
How well does that device work in poor reception area's?
Regards?
John.

I’m just using an iPad. It works with my iPhone as well.

Afraid I have no idea as I’ve never had an android device

I tend to just stick it on charge in between use and can’t really remember if I actually switch it off or not lol. I’ve never had it run out
Hi sounds great do you need a tv license with this please
It’s the same as any tv Ariel which enables you to watch BBC. Yes, you need a tv license.
Even watching the BBC via streaming etc requires you to have a tv license
watching ANY live stream tv in the UK legally requires a licences but on catchup TV only iPlayer requires a licence.
Caravan tvs have built in freeview
How does this work in other countries?
No idea. Never used it in another country
Presumably it would work in other countries, because it gives you the option to choose your country during setup.
We've been married for 38 years. Without a telly, we might have to talk to each other!
That would be terrible 😂😂
If you have a TV Licence yes But not free if you don't.
Sounds great, thanks for the interesting and no nonsense review. May just treat myself. 🏕
You’re very welcome 😊
