Sooo simple. I use this Italian man's recipes all the time. These are literally the best videos. He keeps it simple and talks while he is cooking. He dosen't just stand there and talks . Delicious food. Bravo
GRANDE Pasquale! My dad owned a fish market for 30+ years, and when I saw you clean those calamari inside out you stole my heart - again! You are the real deal! Now who are the 109 SCHEMONITI that gave a thumbs down??
I tried this recipe for my parents tonight and it was delicious!!! I was cutting up a thicker steak so I marinated it in sake + corn starch + salt and pepper, and did two quick fries for it (40s and 20s, respectively). It came out perfect and so delicious! And the marinara was so good-- we added a little herb because my mama can't resist adding to a marinara if it's on the stove. I've been looking after them in this pandemic time and I'm glad to have made something delicious for their Valentine's this year!
You are right Louise, he makes it look amazing... and easy. The genius of Pasquale is that he takes what has become a hackneyed barroom food like fried calamari and raises it to high art. And I can’t say I’ve ever seen a person make cooking look more like fun than this man
Actually fried calamari has been a staple dinner plate in Europe for years. In Livorno we called it “Fritto Totani”. In the US eating fried calamari and mussels is relatively new. Prior to that it was considered mere “chum” by many Americans.
"Fried Calamari with fresh Marinara sauce" Authentic Italian recipes with simple cooking instructions. Grazie mille signore, le vostre ricette sembrano deliziosi. Grande video! Saluti da Los Angeles, California.
Thank you chef Pasquale for another fine recipe. I learned that the calamari has to be turned inside-out to be cleaned properly. I will definitely make this recipe. I love fried calamari.
I made this last night and it was delicious! I didn’t have the fresh chilis so I used my jarred Calabrian Chilies for the marinara and it was delicious! Loved the tentacles!🔥
I love him !!!!!! Both my grandpa’s had passed away before I was born... so I missed out on that!!! But I had uncle’ that were very warm and loving... I loved the Italian accents! The best!!!! 🥰
I just want to thank you for all of you Beautiful Recipes. Sadly, I'm very sick with Cancer, so cannot eat or have any strength to get out of bed to cook anything, it would only "Come Up"any way. I don't have but a few months left , but want to thank you for the years you have brought me such joy with your videos. Thank you and your Loving Family for helping with your videos. I haven't Any Family or friends in all my life. But Knowing you all has made me feel I've have at least "Someone " God Bless you and yours 😔❤❤❤
You Sir are priceless! Your passion n love of cooking n teaching is superb. Love your accent n humor, your family and friends are truly blessed by your gift. I know if I lived in your neighborhood I could be a stunt double for Jabba the Hut
Nonno, maybe you haven´t been awarded any Michelin star, but you are THE BEST !!!!!!! Every time I see you, you make my whole day better. Be safe, and may God bless you. CIAO ! Chin chin !
I'm almost 60 yrs. old. Never had calamari, even though my fiance and others tell me how great it tastes. Pasquali makes it look so good. I've got to try it!
My cousins, who made their sauce this past weekend, posted it on Facebook. I noticed a comment was left about your channel and how you also just made your sauce. Which of course I knew, as I watched it too! I immediately had to respond back saying ‘I love this channel.’ Well, they do too!! I think its safe to say we all do, mainly because besides the extraordinary food, you remind us family is most important! To always make time for ourselves. How good food brings us all together! Thank you for your sincerity and kindness! Sharing your stories and of course your amazing recipes and food!! Ps. Love the outtakes! Would love to see you do a bloopers reel, along with hearing more of the stories. Can you also tell us is that your son/grandson, who does all the filming? Hearing him crack-up with the outtakes, made me burst out with laughter, thinking of my own family. Knowing if we had to do something like this, it would be impossible, because we would be cracking ourselves up too much. Something tells me this happens to you too. More often than all the viewers may know. I have heard this is where the gold is captured. So always have the film rolling....You can definitely feel the love!! Should include him sometimes. I been watching and so far only seen him when you made that fantastic sub. Would be great to maybe just have a Q&A video or even better a live stream once a month. I personally made your sub just the other day. We call it the ‘Bomb’ or just ‘Italian Hero’ as we put on a little bit more stuff on it... I know you love your ‘oh baby’ but I know you love the sweet peppers too. Try using some on that sub next time you make it l. I followed your recipe exactly. Using arugulaI (1st time ever) and I can honestly say this is how I will always be making this sandwich from now on. I highly recommend it!!... I’m not sure where you live but here in NYC, no place can compete with our bread. To me this is half the battle, when making the perfect sub/hero sandwich. I think I have now found the other half in your recipe. Yes, the perfect sandwich! Thank you again!
Thank you so very much, you made my day. I'm going to try your recipe tomorrow and I'm sure it will be delicious:) I am a Finnish woman but luckily living in Spain, so finding fresh calamari is no problem.
So great but how in the world does someone ever think about preparing something so delicious with such an unusual fish? Italians they are so inventive /creative. Thanks chef.👍🏻😎
