A helpful tip that I learned was to paint nmm but using metallics. It sounds weird but it was on some historicals and i was painting a Spartan muscle cuirass. I did the same process, but adding more and more silver to the bronze, achieving a similar but slightly easier effect!

    Hi Jazza!
Your NMM looks good. You got the idea of reflectivness pretty much down already.
2 things i noticed as points to improve.
1: More contrast! Your darkest color is too bright. The NMM that really blows your mind they are almost black in the darkest points. So dont be afraid to go darker :P
2: Your reflective color shouldnt always be the same color. The boots should be reflecting red as you started out but some of the spikes should reflect green from the skin.
But again its a pretty damn good job. Especially for the first try!

Looks spectacular for your first NMM attempt. I think your gold could benefit from just a tiny bit of pure white at just the absolute sharpest edges.
I've always been afraid of trying NMM myself. Had traditional training in 2D art and have never been confident enough to apply it into 3D with my minis.

First, this looks great. It would be cool to see you go even more hardcore and submit a mini for Golden Demon. Take it to 11!
Second, for those like me out there without an eye for NMM, or those that just like glitter, it would be cool to see a video on TMM as well. It's too bad you are suddenly switching to Vallejo from your Army Painter relationship because I'd love to see what you could do with Army Painter's colored metallic paints. So far I've gotten a pretty neat effect with a teal TMM in the shadows of red TMM armor, but I would be happy to see more ideas, like how to paint black TMM armor and make it look good.

Looks great man! Only thing I would saw for next time is to up the contrast, especially on the golds. Your highlights are good, but you could have gone a lot darker in the shadows. As it is, the metal feels a bit "flat", the gold looks mostly yellow, the steel looks mostly grey (which dont get me wrong, fits with the cartoony style of the model, but it's the best if you were going for realism)

Yeh you can really tell the highlights on the leg that is sticking up is brighter and more orangy than the highlights on the legs further back creating some nice depth to the model I feel like you could go darker with the NMM in certain parts have a harsher gradient, to make it more like steel because at the moment its looking a bit like silver/aluminium. But it is coming across like metal so that's good :)
