I love Mexico City! The food is fantastic. Different parts of Mexico have different street foods. Each one, a true delight. There is no end to the culinary delights throughout Mexico. Un tip en México y pienso que en cualquier lugar del mundo es, cuando comas en la calle, come donde veas mas gente, no donde se vea rico o delicioso, veras que nunca falla

Mexicans are more relaxed about wearing masks. A lot of people too. I just will be so worried. I’m in Connecticut and we wear masks everywhere except when we are on the streets and put it back on if people start getting closer. I love tacos de lengua and mole.

You were privilaged too met them, Both of you shows in your glance and face what you really felt in any place you visit or in any situation you had. Mr. Potato goodbye was ephic between a sad situation for you three and happy in the way he found a lovely family and a better place for him. As brave travelers you had a right decission stayed in Peru between the phandemic crisis. Perhaps without that situation you could never experienced all of that. Is miracle exists you deserves a return to Peru when all have been well to visit not only Machu Picchu, but also to see other marvelous places like Tipon in Cuzco (Hydraulic Temple), Choquequirao (the twin citadelle of Machu Picchu), Kuelap Temple in the Rainforest, Huascaran White Mountains Valleys, the Tambopata Rainforest Reserve or Nor Nor Yauyos Cocha Sightseeing Reserve in the Andes of Lima for having a wide comprehenssion on the strong legacy we have on Peru for the world future. You missed out on the mayo cheese lime chili corn on the cob combo: Addictive! You should keep your eyes open for the ladies (and sometimes men) that arrive with big bundles and pails at strategic locations before mealtimes. You can get delicious fresh food for almost nothing..
U gotta try the corn with mayo n chile. Its great with white corn.

I dont think you failed on finding street food! You had a little bit of it all. San Angel is such a pretty place, one of my favorites in the city. And I think you made a good choice at Mercado del Carmen, it may not be a traditional place but it is a cool place to explore a more upper class scene in Mexico and many mexicans go to those places on sundays or to treat ourselves.
Go to Roma Norte or Condesa to their carts. They are not as expensive as San Angel. Cheaper and often more tasty.

WOW You guys hit the ground running. You left Peru a couple of days ago where you were calling corn on the cob choclo like it is also called in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Ecuador, but you are already in Mexico and are calling it elote which the right word in Mexico. Mexico is another country with a rich culinary tradition. Their three main Mexican cuisines are from Puebla, the Yucatan Peninsula and Oaxaca. This is on top of their other Mexican cuisines and also Tex-Mex or what we call in the US Mexican Food. Good luck and get home safe

If I had to pick three cuisines I would pick the food from Puebla, the Yucatan Peninsula and Oaxaca, without putting down what Guerrero, Michoacán, Jalisco, Veracruz, Chiapas, Zacatecas and others have to offer
4:45 I'm glad you are drinking coconut water straight from the coconut, in the Caribbean, this is a must-have on Saturdays, and it's a cleanse for the kidneys in the body. For me agree to enjoy street food, but now with COVID, it is a little concerning when people don't use gloves when handling food for the public to eat 7:33 . A question, with Mexico's infection rate so high and in the top ten of countries, were you concern being in such close proximity to others and maybe contracting the virus? In the Caribbean, 12:07 roast corn on the cob is also I big thing as well, but we roast them in the husk and make the kernels very soft to eat. You both are impressive eaters...AWESOME!!
