@@slysteel7227 I'm actually Ghanaian, born and raised in La (Labadi), Accra. Why does everything have to be "an us vs them"? South African architecture is miles ahead of Ghanaian architecture in general. They don't just build for the sake of it like we do in Ghana. Their homes are designed to harvest the abundance of natural features from the environment the home is set in. They pay attention to natural land slopes, existing vegetation, cross ventilation and use materials harvested from the natural environment. They invest a lot into landscaping. Just drive around Accra and you'll see the abundance of multi-million Cedi concrete monstrosities with no greenery in sight. There's no regard for the environmental setting, overdependence on concrete, and no one wants to plant trees but everyone complains Accra is hot lol. You'll see many people importing synthetic doors from China, Germany etc, when we have an overabundance of beautiful variations of wood right here in Ghana. We have a lot to learn from South Africa and we should ship our architects there for better training. We could actually start by sending you over to learn a thing or two about architecture. I can start a GoFundMe on your behalf to send you there if you're interested 😂.

Lol no. I literally just saw your tiny profile picture and was mesmerized😂
I don't understand why people would buy small size lands unless that is all they can afford and a time crunch.
This looks like a California hills house. Literally looks just like Kylie Jenners house. Love it 😍
My first thought was it looks so American.
This is such a beautiful space
Yes it does.. I live in ca.
Exactly. So Hollywood
exactly. maybe that's why i'm attracted to it, as a californian myself.
Very good house but I think she is more inspiring than the whole house. The humbleness on talking and dressing make us understand that all the material is just a complement in live, the relevant here is how we treat people. I loved her.
Well done Vanessa.
Greetings from Mozambique 🇲🇿
Thank you for this Vanessa❤️...This really paves the way on the kind of standards that we should be looking for to build in Africa. It has a lot to do with mentality. We must decide once and for all that we deserve the best...in everything. You can see that the people that did this job were proud of their job. They provided an amazing service. Let's not short change each other and give each other the best and honest services possible. Because we deserve it.
I absolutely love this house.
Nana seems so humble too.
So beautiful.
Her garden reminds me of my mum's. There is corn, orange, mango, kontomire, tomatoes, palm tree, coconut, plantain, sweet potatoes, pepper, avocado. Not all are matured to produce it's fruit and others come once in a while but it's really nice to have them💥
The palm fruit, plantain, sweet potatoes, coconut and mango are the regular ones we always enjoy.
I feel like visiting Ghana would be like visiting Korea in the 60s or 70s and then getting to experience their rise to becoming a first world 🌎 nation in your lifetime
I was in Ghana back in the early 90s when Rawlings was in power.
Stayed in a few different parts & had many interesting experiences.
Was there back in the 90s, when Rawlings was in power.
Yes I know there have been many changes...hopefully for the good of ALL the people, but I hope it hasn't lost its identity.
I know the Ghanian people are proud people.
Yes this lady seemed nice & humble & the house she has built is impressive.💐
Would like to return one day.
Thank you for sharing this.
Love from Scotland.🏴
I love her huminity.. I just want to sit and hear her life stories..
Those steps leading to the private quarters gave the property a clean aesthetic. That was my favorite part of the property.
I love the influence of South African architecture! I'm impressed with how perspective she is regarding the utilization of the lot and designing the home to harvest the abundance of natural elements surrounding it. The lady is such a pleasant soul. I'm sure you didn't want to leave Vanessa 😛.
I bet you are south african, many of you never left your country before so you assume everything is all about you.
@@whenwewerekings190 You dont get it,greenery you mentioned is not an easy venture in temperate regions and no i am not Ghanaian but i ve been to accra severally and also joburg and i can tell that south african architecture is more or less European or if i am going to be specific, old and mordern dutch style.
@@slysteel7227 jealousy against SA as always
@@slysteel7227 You be mumu big time. Can Ghana compete with SA on any level? Yes her house was influenced by SA architecture and that's a fact and it's evident. Look up houses in Capetown and see for yourself.
Looks amazing! Especially using part of the land to grow fruits and veggies
This is what we need to see about Africa, that's very inspiring, let us build our beautiful Continent 🌍✔️💯
I've heard so many great things about Ghana and pray 1 day soon I can move myself and my family here from America. This is a Beautiful Country ❤💚🖤
You welcome here to Ghana 🇬🇭
I advise that you get yourself a land first which is very important then in the future you and your family can move here anytime.Im saying this cuz day in day out our Diasporans brothers and sisters are coming in their vast numbers. So my friend, get yourself a land if not you will be left out .
@@fredkofiodoom5499 OH that's most definitely my plan first thing before I bring my family over.. I thank and appreciate your advice and any other Information that would be helpful for our move. 🙏🏽
I love Ghana! I have been in my apartment in dzorwulu for almost 6 years. The weather there is very cool. And the Botanical Gardens is breathtaking
In apartment at Dzorwulu for 6 years ? Well, how about getting yourself a land in the countryside ?
@@fredkofiodoom5499 because I'm back and forth. You know brought land has to be lived on or someone will squat on it.
@@SB-ec9bn Let me guide you here if not you will be left out.I NEVER plan of buying land until 2006 I saw massive development in Accra Now I'm 39 yrs,If I tell you the number of plots I have ,you will be shocked.I lands on different locations behind Valley View university, Dodowa, Adukrom Hills, and Apollonia and Shai Hills which are 20 minutes drive to the city. Here is what you need to do: Buy a land(s) then fence it, if it's say 2 plots or 3 plots you will fence it/them with a gate at the front.Every day lands are being bought by Diasporans and others who wants to relocate or do business in Ghana,so please don't wait for long.Securing your land(s) by fencing and that you can leave it there for years until you're ready to put up your dream house/mansion.Sorry my English is not that good but I hope you understand me ?
I will guide you here especially in purchasing lands for Agriculture, Real Estate, Hotel,Pub, Montessori School, Health centre etc depending what you are interested in. That's all for now.
Very good taste this woman has. This is the modern living and befits Aburi perfectly. Vanessa, please buy a land in Aburi before it get overly expensive. Don’t wait, you will pay double the price in a year’s time
It's gotten overly expensive and thrive with litigation. To buy land there you really need to do due deligence. Avery nice house indeed! I love it!
Nana's got great taste. She has a rare sense of beauty and elegance.
You are so correct
Am in Ghana and I cannot believe this is in Ghana 😶
Yes... when you open your mind , everything is possible in Ghana...
Pinax Tv
Then you haven’t been to many beautiful homes in Ghana !
Don't understand why Its like the Caribbean but way better.
That side of Africa that the BBC banned from airing.
Very nice house it looks so European designed house, but what's with patchy grass? a typical trait with African housing.. patchy grassland
Wow. This is totally a dream house of everyone! Its even better than some celebrities insanely, luxurious huge house.. Its unique on how the downstair and upstair are created or separated ? Its something new to me.. What really caught my attention was how we can see the gardern on left and right while going upstair.. its was so beautifully built.. And we can have many private time everywhere. Oh my gosh. I could say million word about this house but i dont know how. This was just amazing. The best house i ever saw
It's good to finally see wood floors.. a lot of the homes are usually OVERLY tiled
Maybe to keep the house cool in the heat, as you see in Southern Spain and North Africa? 🤔
Wow that’s for sure a Dream home, it’s absolutely stunning, love the transition between the two buildings and glass wall finish just takes it to whole different level
Congrats to you and great work Vanessa
Waiting on part two
Now this is a beautiful home with much potential....Would love to see more homes like this in Ghana 🇬🇭 ❤.🙌
Who are her architect cos I will need their service. I love what am seeing, its beautiful in my eyes. Love it.
She said it's her South African friend ,the architect.
It’s amazing to see people build in Ghana like this. I’m so happy to see this woman dream this big.
My entire apartment here in Atlanta(USA) can fit in her living room. Lol
First 2 seconds into the video and my jaw dropped!!! Now this is a great looking home!
Okay Vanessa is back uploading 💃💃💃💃
Thank you for showing the world that we don’t live in huts and forests.
Since she lived in SA i believe she came in with the south African building idea and I can see that contemporary vide in the house and its so lovely how open the home is I love how natural light flows into the home with dose floor to ceiling windows its a beautiful home i love it.
Beautiful Home.....Proudly South African and thank you for showcasing is lovely home and design.
The design plan is so beautiful, and I love how open and spacious it is...I really wish I could've seen this video before I started building my house 🤷🏾♀️
@Strive For greatness I couldn't agree with you more...we have a one-track mind and don't often think outside the box...I guess I'm guilty as well
Strive For greatness No you are absolutely wrong. Come to Cantoments and.Nhyeiso etc in Ghana. People don’t build like this in Ghana because of land prices. Visit and see before commenting. Do just watch videos and conclude.
Strive For greatness Rubbish, absolutely rubbish stop bragging and patting yourselves on the back. We also have beautifully designed houses by brilliant architects and it’s owned by Africans
Rick Can't Trade good thing you spotted that. If the designer had been a bit clever, there would have been no need for most of the all the buglar proof of the inner perimeter windows
Watching from Jamaica. It's such a lovely home giving me a villa vibes...love the design.the architect have done a fantastic job
.the love the personality of the home owner.I'm waiting for part two.
It’s out now! ua-cam.com/video/oQCivvy_rng/v-deo.html
Yard man represent!
Absolutely stunning home. I immediately thought that the style screamed South African. It's modern, clean and open. I love how it take advantage of the natural slope of the land.
What a gorgeous house and the owner has such a gentle soul. I miss West Africa! - much love from UK xx
Have u been here🇬🇭 before
Very charming and serene. The Aburi hills are a scenic delight. Nana's house is very beautiful. Thanks for the tour.
Beautiful and massive. I love the floor plan😍. I cannot wait for part 2. Thank you for showing us this place Vanessa. Love your work 💞
This is an amazing property. One of the best in Ghana . Very smart lady

This is just a breathtaking house🏠.👌👌👌❤️❤️💜❤️🤗🤗🥰🤗
People said that’s Africa is poor they’re are one of the ,most richest Continent people never know that. I had find this out afterwards from Highschool it’s took me by surprise this was years back.
this woman is beautiful and so is her country as well as her house ❤️
I really appreciate these REAL walk through's. Thank you for putting in the time and effort!
Beautiful house. Such a dream wow
Why I’m i so excited to see a new Vanessa Kanbi upload🤗🤗
How beautiful and how humble she is... ❤️
By far the most homey house I have seen in Ghana. Super impressive to see this.
Most houses built in Ghana are designed with security as priority before aesthetics. Hence the Box box box look and feel. But I love Nana’s courage and ideas. Truly amazing!!!
I would love to know more about her life , she seems like an amazing person!
