That's why people are stupid for believing team wins make you a better individual player. Michael has 6 but that's the LEAST impressive thing about his career numbers. You really going to take Bill Russel over Wilt, Shaq, and Hakeem because he played on the best team in a tiny league where players were stuck on the same squad their whole career (unless management got rid of them)? Great points! I was trying to explain this to other fans. A superstar can only do so much with a great complimentary group of players. The Chicago Bulls had an amazing group of players. Especially from the 2nd 3-peat teams. MJ, Scottie, Rodman, three Hall-of-Famers on that roster. Let's not forget, and old Robert Parrish was on the 1997 roster. It was definitely not a bad thing having another legendary player as a backup on the roster that knows how to help teams win it all.
I am among the few that rooted for underdog players and teams. I feel for legends such as Patrick Ewing, Dominique Wilkins, Charles Barkley and others. Management just simply miscalculated a bit on surrounding those players with one more solid teammate.

The one main thing I can remember about Reggie Miller was that he was loyal to the coaching and was a very unselfish player despite his perceived theatrics throughout his career. When Reggie played under Larry Bird, I felt that Larry should have frequently green lit Reggie to just be a bit more selfish at times and let it rip from the perimeter. Reggie did that against the Knicks in the 2000 Eastern Conference Finals when he simply took over and beat the Knicks by himself in that game 6 in the 4th quarter. Reggie was great in his day; he would have flourished in today's perimeter scoring game.

Back in the 90s, he was called the best player in the league not named Jordan and consistently showed up in top players lists of all-time. Nowadays I hardly hear his name mentioned in any top 10 or even top 25 list. In 30 years, I don't think KD's name will be included in top 10 lists as you also need to include all the hot shots that may be entering into the league by then. After 5 years, we can now say KD needed the Warriors more than the Warriors needed KD. If KD stayed with the Warriors after that last Finals. Warriors would of won more chips. In a way, I am glad he left that Warriors' dynasty. It made the league more competitive. A lot of fans were tired of seeing a Warriors vs. Cavs' finals. They wanted different teams in the Finals. I don't think not winning a chip is all KD's fault, but it was his choice of teammates he wanted to win it with that was the issue. Kyrie is a superstar but his demeanor and off the court problems causes too much distraction for a team trying to win a title. Harden has his own issues that needs to be addressed besides basketball. I think Curry was the perfect teammate for KD, but he didn't see it at that time. Oh well, you make decisions and live with those decisions. Bruh everyone in Oklahoma already knew this. Yes we're salty and biased but doesn't change the fact that KD won 4 scoring titles and an MVP while in okc, and even with Russ, Adams, Ibaka, Dre, and others he could never win a ring. He only made it to the finals one year. It wasn't all his fault, of course. Injuries and youth were just some of the reasons. But overall, KD simply will not lead a team to a ring as the #1 player on the roster. He doesn't have the grit in the toughest games to just get the win. He complained abut the coach and an alleged lack of help as why he failed.
Even Andre Iggy later said the 2016 thunder had the warriors number, and could have beaten them in the WCF. KD (and Russ) couldn't get it together even up 3-1. He just doesn't have the mental fortitude. With that said he's of course a tremendous basketball player and one of the best pure scorers ever. It's all the other stuff that keeps him from being a leader. He knew he had to go get those rings with GSW cuz he couldn't stand the fans being right about him not being a true championship winning player.
