You are so very, very wise. I'm so thankful for you opening up the scriptures for all of us the way you do, and further, I'm so thankful that I totally get all the Arab/Middle Eastern cultural connotations for reasons you already know. How is it that even understanding things I'd never understood (or taken any interest in) before, I still have a heart of stone? When will I get a heart of flesh? Thank you for all that you do.
That's a profound question. The transformation is provided by God's presence within us through the Holy Spirit, so the "Biblical" answer is you need to fully surrender your life to Christ. But I don't want to presume that isn't something you've already done, so I'll offer another possibility: Maybe that "heart of stone" you feel you have is a defense against past trauma or pain you've experienced and (in that case) you need to take some intentional steps toward healing. I experienced a lot of trauma in my childhood that resulted in an adulthood where I couldn't fully experience of express my deeper emotions, even after becoming a Christian. I know for some people, just taking these things to God in prayer brings supernatural healing. For me, it took several years of therapy with a professional. In any case, I'm praying for the God of all Comfort to be with you, my friend!
@@NasseralQahtani Thank you for your deeply considered answer. I will ruminate on both possibilities. At first reading, neither seems true, but I need time to reflect. Thank you.
Loving to listen to your teachings and I love how you pronounced "Lot" and "Hagar" correctly:) I never heard it said like that! We Americans don't pronounce anything correctly I think! Haha!! God bless you and your wife as you journey to Japan! Have fun and be safe. God bless you and your ministry!! Hugs & Prayers!!
Hi Nasser and Nasser's viewers. Is the book of Enoch something i should include in my pursuit of spiritual truth? Is this a serious text? Will it bring me closer to God or further away? I value the Bible including the Gospels as well as Allen Kardec and Paramahansa's Yakananta's works. Thanks for reading Fam. Love you all.💙💚✝️🛐😔😃☯️
Hi Christopher. I would say seek Gods wisdom about it. I found what Mike Heiser said about it valuable and compelling. I had already read it when I heard what he thought. Which, if I remember correctly is that, the book of Enoch was a book that was widely read and known about in Jesus time (and earlier). This gives me the impression it was a book which was valued by the people of this time. Which included Jesus and his followers. I found it a fascinating read. God bless you as you seek God about this 🙏
I have read it and it's very interesting. But what's important to keep in mind is that the story is not meant to be taken literally, but it's like a commentary on the whole Hebrew Bible in the form of a long parable-like story. If you read it, do so with the same discerning eye you would any modern commentary - some of the conclusions could be correct, others wrong or misleading, since at the end of the day it's a human work made with human limitations.
I've enjoyed the Luke study. Thank you very much. 😊
