    IQ is so important. So i would like the IQ videos, yet on the other hand i could improve my shot as well so...

  • @20eddiec
    @20eddiec 5 років тому +62

    I think the IQ videos are much more valuable. There's tons of UA-cam content on shooting, but relatively few channels that will walk you step by step through a smart player's thought process.

  • @chrisbell8585
    @chrisbell8585 5 років тому +37

    Definitely the IQ!!!! I personally think that it would help EVERY player on EVERY level. A great shooter with low IQ is easy to guard. Any high IQ player is a threat

  • @devvv4616
    @devvv4616 4 роки тому +1

    IQ videos. you're literally the only one doing this stuff. Most are teaching moves, but people still don't know when to use them! so we end up with players spamming some move like it's a video game and premeditating their crossovers/spins etc. instead of reacting correctly and doing the right move for the situation.

  • @michaelcueva530
    @michaelcueva530 5 років тому

    No doubt IQ is the most important. Most channels wont tell the IQ part of their move breakdowns, most of them are just plainly hiding it from the general public. But this channel is the best I've seen so far as much as IQ is concerned. Keep up the work man :)

      I agree. I really like your format as well. Most people will talk about basketball moves and then do them in a drill or against a fake defender. But the IQ process that is really helpful is talking though the options and explaining why you chose the ones you did.

      like why people use only. index finger and middle finger to shoot

    • @saadmurt9386
      @saadmurt9386 5 років тому +1

      Kier Justine Manigo rotation and aiming. If u use all 5 fingers simultaneously, u have a lot of inconsistencies on which finger comes last and that can change the rotation of the ball and how the ball leaves out of ur hands. Middle finger and index fingers are most part ur strongest fingers, so u can generate more spin on the ball for better accuracy and can use it as a measuring factor by pointing the finger to the basket

    More shooting breakdowns. Your channel has so many videos about the importance of shooting, how to practice shooting and shooting mechanics. Showing breakdowns of real life mistakes in form and correcting them would round everything off and make a perfect guide to shooting.

    IQ be the one i reckon! Especially 5v5. Loads of skilled players are easy to guard because they dont know the game. Ive been playing over 10 years and because of the lack of coaching in the Uk i only just feel like im getting a basic grasp for how to actually play offence.

    See as far as athleticism and skill set I have greatly and very quick with a great jump shot already. What you specifically have that's more important than mines is the basketball 1 on 1 iq that doesn't stick with me right now and I forget how to execute everything properly. Like I'm strong who lift weights and don't look for contact, don't use my off arm, and don't use my body to create space and only just my speed which I need to use the other stuff to be maximum effective. So a lot of the time I get on the court I don't do these simple things and forget especially when it's somebody with good defense.

    Please help me fix my son's shot!! For the past 2 seasons his shot has been very inconsistent, he used to shot lights out midrange, 3's. It's like he keeps changing his shot. Now he's putting his set hand in front of the ball and pulling it back when he shoots which seems to be causing a spin to the ball. Problem #2 when he goes up for the shot he is not make that L shape I see you doing before releasing the ball. Pleaseeeeeee any advice would be greatly appreciated, I don't want him to loose his confidence with his 8th grade basketball season coming up. I've uploaded several videos on UA-cam of some of his games since he was 8 his name is David Larkins
