I love your excitement about Germany and our language. As a native you take so many things for granted, but your enthusiasm is inspiring me to take a new perspective on our culture and makes me appreciating it more. As a language learner myself I'm always happy if I see someone who is learning my native language and actually enjoying it :)

Hi Jay, just started learning German. I am from Scotland and struggle to pronounce the "german r". How long did it take you to get comfortable with the pronunciation of this. Would you be willing to do a video on tips as well?
Good luck with your German! The German "r" is the last bit of German pronunciation that I have to master. Thankful the slightly guttural r is not used everywhere. So you can get away with the easier rolled "r".
