Replace Motor Mount on Honda Pilot

- Honda Pilot motor mounts contain oil inside. When they oil is leaking out, it’s a good indicator that the motor mount needs to be replaced. This should be applicable to Honda Pilots from 2003 to 2008.
This video outlines how I removed and replaced the passenger side motor mount on my 2007 Honda Pilot. This procedure should be applicable to all 2003-2008 generation Honda Pilots. - Авто та транспорт
Great video👍🏼, Do you know torque specs for the mount bolts as well as the Bracket? I will look it up, but I thought I would ask for others who come across this video in the future.
Thanks and glad the video was helpful! I believe the smaller mount bolts are 28 ft.lb. and the longer bracket bolt is 40 ft.lb.
@@lmsdiy Thanks very much!
Great video. I just noticed the long bolt that goes to the motor mount has a huge gap in the center. Is that correct? As it will make a clunking sound when the engine shifts. Or is the mount made wrong? Thanks
That’s a good quest. It’s been a while and I don’t actually recall seeing a gap in the center. Does it only slot in one way on yours?
@@lmsdiy yes it slots in one way. It’s just the long bolt is a lot skinnier than the motor mount (diameter) hole. Just thought it would be flush with it.
@@tsw808 hmm..I didn't notice that when I was reinstalling the bolt. Maybe they are all that way but that I just didn't notice!
I took my side mount off without removing so much. I guess everyone thinks differently 😅😅
Nice! You should make a video on it! 👍
What's the part brand and part #
I don't recall exactly but have a look at rockauto.com, they have a number of options for replacements you can choose from.
