At the very bottom, underneath your 10 item slots there are 2 colored bars. The green one on the left represents your hunger and the blue one on the right is your thirst. When the bar gets to 50% that is when your character will start to complain and you will have reduction in stamina until you get back over at least 50%
7 days to die is a brutal game for beginners but you get better at it after trial and error or watching beginner guides. I can remember many frustrating starts and having to start over again and again but each time I got better and now I have over 2K hours played. I have to increase the difficulty now to have a challenge at the start. Once you get good at the game, it feels rewarding to mess the zombies up with ease. 😂
You will get there, it takes practice. A few tips: Early first week is the hardest time to survive until you spend/get more perk points (which I don't think I saw you do). Focus on making it to the trader day 1, and do a quest, BEFORE NIGHT. The trader closes at night, don't bother trying to loot until 4AM. You need to "track" the trader quest. Do a clear zombies quest, make that cleared quest POI your home for that first night. Try to build up in the attic or on the roof, lay down a land claim block. Cut off the paths up by knocking out stairs or ladders. You cant/shouldn't be out at night until you get guns and probably a vehicle too. Stay in sneak at night and lay low. Early goals would be: find a cooking pot and make a dew collector asap. My last tips: When attacking melee you don't have to get nearly as close as you are if you back up and keep that distance you will not get hit. When attacking with the primitive bow, hold your shot while ADS and your reticle gets smaller. This is to indicate a tighter grouping for where your arrow will go. Later bows don't have so much drop and randomness. Good luck!
One last thing…. It’s ok to run away if needed. As long as you aren’t on a quest that requires you to stay in the POI, the zombies will tire of chasing you if you run far enough away from them. Land claim and Bedrolls will keep zombies from spawning in your base areas. You respawn on your Bedrolls and the spawn free zone it creates smaller than the land claim. You can put them in different locations to secure 2 areas for yourself to be free of surprise zombie spawns.
Here are some tips I’d like to suggest for your start. Do the first challenge line quickly so you get sent to trader and head there asap. Don’t get side tracked by houses and random zombies but do collect tree stumps, free loot bags/trash and nests….. try to kill and collect meat from any small animal you cross. Once you get to trader, do a couple of quests to earn some Dukes so you can afford a few food items he may have on him. This should keep your hunger and thirst at bay until Day 2. To make your survival easier, put a point in Healing Factor and Iron Gut which will allow you to heal over time as long as your aren’t hungry or thirsty. The iron gut will make your food/water meter deplete slower. Hope these tips help!
Seeing you get mad at the trader had me rolling. Thanks for the vid, good stuff. I see you restarted another series, but I plan to finish this one first, since there's no experience like a blind play. I'm going to predict it was the infection that got ya, but we'll see (no spoilers lol). Cheers.
@@thebeardedgamer4683 That's what I get for commenting halfway through, haha. Big brain move checking the tree stump to see if you get anything from it! You've got those survival instincts.
great video dood! please keep this series going, its entertaining watching someone new play and seeing them progress and get better throughout the series. im subbin n lookin forward to your next upload.
when you run into a building, stir up the zombies and run outside, funnel them through the door n kill 1 by 1. ive died so many times getting stuck inside surrounded by zombies lol. much easier to do the ole spartan 300 method of funneling them thru a narrow doorway to smackem 1 by 1.
its so much fun with friends. i have no friends and am just anti social cuz im getting old n grumpy lol but i finally joined 7dtd discord and found a group of people to play with and its been so much fun. there is alot of kool people in this community and they welcome ya with open arms. i highly reccomend joining the discord n finding someone to play with. doesnt matter what shift ya work or if your just a weekend warrior, theres people on ur schedule!

Don't sprint when you have a sprain, I'm not all the way through but where I'm at it seems you didn't notice it increasing the timer on it
I did not notice that, good thing to know
I really really tried to like this game. I just could not get into it unfortunately. Maybe would be more fun with a few people to play with
I only have like maybe 5 hours in it and kept dying because of food and zombies but I'm determined to get better at it!

So the name of the video is no true?
Pretty accurate actually
Plays for the first time but has 5 hours of playtime already? lol
Well I'm still a newbie
@thebeardedgamer4683 fare enough, but I was specifically looking for people playing and getting their first-time reactions. Good video
