How to use Gardena Hand Fertiliser Spreader - no more drop spreading

Gardena Hand Fertiliser Spreader is ace. I've owned three drop-spreading, wheeled fertiliser spreaders! My last, a B&Q (UK) supplied Westland spreader jammed after one year's use. Useless and not fit for purpose. I found that I was covering areas twice thus burning patches in lines. When I compensated by trying hard not to cross my own path I would miss, and that would remain unfertilized.
So, with great success, I'm trying a broadcast hand held spreader for fertilizer, salt and grass seed. Once I'd worked on how to use it, I've made better progress. I hope this video will help you. Thank you for reading and watching. J. June 2020

Great basic video on this, with a good demonstration of how you worked it out, not including a rudimentary instruction book or a video like this from the manufacturer is I feel a cheap cost cutting exercise, you have filled the gap really well.

Thank you for the demonstration! My Gardena drop spreader leaves overlap or underlap racing stripes in my lawn no matter how careful I am with retracing the path. I'll give the hand spreader a try.
