Yeah the whole race is meaningless compared to a plastic wrapper.
What I feel annoyed about this is Graham would have finished in top 7 at Erzbergrodeo if he had not been disqualified for outside assistant to fix his bike but Mani got outside assistant to fix his clutch and got a 2 hr penalty and finished 6th. How is this fair?
I'm wondering why Redbull will not show any go pro footage of mani and the assistance he had?
@@michaelharvey4565 the video of jarvis getting help fixing his fuel line issue has been posted. he got help from another rider which is well within the rules. they disqualified him for getting help from his "mechanic" to fix the bike issue which was just untrue. his mechanic never touched the bike so i think they are trying to play favorites. meanwhile the mani 2h penalty has not been posted so im not sure what the difference is at all. All i know is that it took jarvis over an hour (86min if i remember correctly) to get his bike running again and he still managed to catch up to 95% of the field. if that's not a G.O.A.T. then idk what is.

Agreed, I very much dislike the chest mount view as well but I think helmet mounted cameras are a thing of the past. Various different organizations seem to have banned all helmet mounted cameras. I see some discussions suggesting that Brian Moreau's crash and injuries were one of the reasons for this, but I don't see any real evidence that the camera was a factor. Apparently some idiots had also mounted their cameras with screwed, compromising the helmet.
I don' t think GoPro has done themselves any favors by making their cameras bigger every generation or two. If they'd have found a way to make the Session (which can be mounted under the visor pretty easily) better and better, I wonder if we'd be here now.
@@daemn42 I didn't know that, thanks for the info. I'd love to see a workaround, helmet mounted videos carry so more of the pov feeling that is lost on chest or bike mounted ones

@@RedBullMotorsports That's too bad, because this angle gets pretty nauseating, and it's annoying having it half obstructed all the time. I've seen a camera integrated into the goggles. Maybe that should be pursued more. I get that chest mounted cams are the "new normal". I just don't like it.

Amazing ride. Video editing is wrong, about 3/4 of the way thru, it shows Graham getting lost, then pulling into the final checkpoint at the end of the race where Manni is already there, and Billy Bolt is doing interviews.
Also, bring back helmet cam.
