I went with Action 4, to me, it outshines Gopro with 160 mins recording at 1080K24, plus built-in HDR. On paper Hero 12 offers 155 mins at 1080K30, however, there are other factors that made Action 4 my top pick, like the colors, front touch screen and crisper audio
The microphone test also shows the disparity in quality from untouched footage assuming they were shot in normal/natural color profiles and automatic settings. I recently destroyed my Hero 11 (FPV stuff, ya know) and am now in the market for a new action camera. Depending upon what my warranty entitles me to, I may have the option to receive store credit for the value of the Hero 11...that would entitle me to enough money to cover the cost of the base Hero 12 or the Adventure combo for the Action 4...this video wasn't conclusive enough for me, all due respect. I'm going to keep searching for comparison videos -- but this is a good piece to the puzzle. I appreciate the effort that went into making this.

The microphone test has me shocked at how horrible both visuals were. Never mind the sound, the picture quality was awful. What's the story with it?

I have had two GoPros in the past, but unfortunately, both ended up with a damaged power button and resulted to water leakage. So, I am considering trying out DJI products.

looks like the DJI is much smaller. One thing I hate about the new GoPro cameras is their size. I long for the Gopro 4 form factor.

Bought a GoPro 10. Used it no more than 10 times and now it does not work. Customer service is difficult to contact. Invested in a lot of accessories and very disappointed. Cancelled my subscription in GoPro and musing about the Osmo Action
