@@willemp6432 I can tell you that comment is very telling of what you drive. I would not lower it due to the fact that undercarriage repairs are expensive as hell. I don’t care if he’s able and knows how to repair it. It’s simple the fact that why waste money on repairs for something stupid.

Once done take it to dealer and gat all the modules, TCM, ECM updated to current. 😊

Also BEN, please wear your seatbelt, it is your choice but think of your wife and your family. You don’t want to leave her. Cars safety has improved WITH seatbelt. I have worked accidents seeing people ejected out of their car laying dead on the embankment. Its not worth it bro.

Awesome videos, although I do have a constructive comment, you should really wear your seatbelts regardless but definitely on screen. You are UA-camrs and influencers and setting the right example as regards to safety should you be equally important as views.

Good job guys. By the way, the carbon hood looks nice and all but personally I couldn't live with water constantly collecting on by the headlights, very annoying. Did you get a warranty on the new transmission? How long? Don't lower it, it looks fine. How much do you have in the Vette now?

The manufacturers are over engineering transmissions that if not properly flashed the vehicle will not move. Me and my older bruh replaced a valve body in a 2017 chevy Tahoe that has the tmc built onto the unit. After replacing we kept getting engine and transmission codes. After researching we found a dude who went to my brothers house and reflashed it and now the transmission works great

Great video series! Be sure and change the DCT filter often. It will save your transmission. Even if you don’t track the car, you should have added the 2 extra quarts of DCT fluid while you had the chance to do it easily. Do the fluid flush as recommended by GM. They use time and/or mileage as parameters. You can never change fluids or over service your vehicle too often. Hopefully, you won’t have to do this job again.
Great job kid! Love to watch your crazy builds! Just curious would you be willing to disclose some of the numbers on your C8 build? What are the wrecked C8s going for at auction? How much did you have in parts and what did that new tranny cost? I'm an older guy and have rebuilt some salvage cars back in the day and was thinking about doing a rebuild on a C8 myself. Currently I have a 59 Corvette resto mod that I built but that will be going up for auction soon and I'll be looking for a new project. Thanks! Keep up the good work! Cheers from NY

Great video. Car looks and sounds amazing. Surely there is a recall on that transmission and should be replaced under warranty even though it’s a crash title.
Mine was a savage title also rejected repair purchase...
Mine didn't have any transmission problems I did the 7500 service..
It had 4002 miles on it when I got it...
If I had any transmission problems with the dealership tring to tell me no I would've went ape s*** on the a**..

I would not lower it and I would ditch the carbon hood but that is just me. It has turned out to be a nice build!
Good work guys on the installation of the tranny. Ben you look more relaxed that you have some help in the shop.
Not sure if anyone else mentioned this but the C8 has a service power mode. If you hold the start/stop button for about 5 -10 seconds without pressing the break pedal it will turn on all systems like the engine has started. Handy if you need to run diagnostics but down want the engine running.

When you changed the transmission, did you need to update the module for the new gearbox?
Well it's a good thing you got that transmission you can break it down and learn on it and see what went wrong and maybe rebuild it and use it on the next vet that you have out there in the yard

The dealerships aren't s*** for not warranting those transmissions though..
It's all good though we're our own warranties!!!
They flashed the transmission for you prior to shipping with the shift parameters and I believe the VIN as well.

Never Change. I came to see auto fixes. Nothing else.
I'm fairly certain that trans needs to be re-flashed by the GM dealer through Tech II. They all have special codes on them.

Get ready for a new trans very soon. You are supposed to fill the trans when it’s at temp with the car running and going through the gears. It’s not properly filled. That’s what got you guys here in the first place. Improper fill.

What a great car, don't do anything to it to lower it or something I just took a C8 out this weekend (ma cousin was so awesome to let me drive it for a day). Yeah that is something I will be saving up for. It might be a while but I will get there.
