A little over two years ago Chris was a full time music teacher entering the peak of quarantine. When he began losing students his brother approached him about the trading market enthused to share the information he had discovered. Chris knew he needed a change in careers; however, trading was not at the top of his list. In March 2020 Chris changed his life embarking on his journey to becoming a 6 figure trader. This is like talking about something without talking about something. Lol It’s kinda pointless. Like having an inside joke and filming it for everyone to see but having everyone feel left out. Yes I understand that and I have my own strategies and edges that work for me. What i was saying is that for an educational video it needed more substance and if he wasn’t going to explain his system or go into detail, they could have spoken about other aspects of trading like psychology or risk or process etc. in which they could’ve deep dived into.

Besides telling us to hit them up about their system maybe you could enlighten us or have traders include what they are doing in their interview. You know what it is like searching for a strategy. That is a commonality amongst beginner traders. Perhaps a follow up interview with them detailing their strategy. We all can relate to the struggle and it sounds like these guys have something that could truly impact others lives in a massively wonderful way.

@@4309chris Consider who the audience is that Alex reaches in these videos. I would bet most are aspiring traders who are not consistently profitable. I try really hard to become a better trader, believe me. That is one of the primary reasons I show up to this channel. Any insight from someone who has made it is valuable to me. Aspiring traders commonly try many strategies just to end up trying another and another on a continuous cycle. This strategy allowing one to disconnect from screen as this trader did when skiing is appealing. I can do data collection in excel with ease but have no clue where to begin. Simply would appreciate more details about this strategy.

Nice interview! Always Great to hear about someone's success in trading. Only suggestion is perhaps probe for some nuggets with details during interview you can walk away with and apply in trading.
It's a lousy interview. You're right. Alex did nothing to push for the specifics where people can benefit from his trading "success". It's one of the worse episodes he did.

When I first started with stocks, I was initially sold that LvL2 and the tape mattered... FOR ME PERSONALLY, and especially since switching to futures, I don't even care about either of them, now. Never look at them... I'm only looking at price action in a Supply & Demand scenario.

Sure. Letting him speak a bunch of nonsense without specifics. Alex was doing a much better job on following up with the specifics in other interviews. It's obvious he didn't do it on this one.

I don't really enjoy videos like this. It shows unreal results to ppl. And it plants unrealistic expectations into new traders. I've been trading 6 years and I'm still struggling. Most ppl can't sit next to a profitable trader and just copy trade. Or they don't have a blueprint where someone else has done all the work and all they basically have to do is follow instruction like putting a chair together. He had no struggle or anything. He said his first account never even went red. So videos like this doesn't really show realistic situations to the trading community IMO.
Maybe you’re not cut out for trading. After sometime, it becomes a mental game. It’s not hard to learn the fundamentals and technicals of trading but it’s incredibly hard to master yourself mentally to actually implement those things and let them play out.

I didn't finish listening either. Who wants to listen to someone who walked into a system that was already laid out and they didn't have to do any work for. Its unrealistic for just about all ppl trying to trade.
Exactly. It's a total waste of time. He didn't reveal anything about his system - how he analyzed the data, what he learned, and how he traded. He didn't reveal his method of risk management either. It's all about the end result of his success. Also, Alex did nothing to push for the specifics.
Everyone's always saying track data track your data but what if you don't know how to track your data what is exactly spreadsheets and tracking data.

This guy is making money, but he is still an elementary trader. He seems pretty disciplined. Which is what is great about trading it can be simple.
Everything happens for a reason. In his case, he didn’t fight it and he became successful. Awesome!

How is it a great video? Chris revealed nothing about his system, how he analyzed his data, what he found, and how he traded without charting or level II. It's not possible to day trade without charts or Level II. Does he shoot in the dark?
Good interview; great questions that enabled Chris to express more than just the "stuff" of his trading, but how he mentally approaches it. As someone who has been involved in the martial arts for well over 50 years, it's exactly like Chris put it: if you don't have peace and presence of mind then you're ability to trade successfully is greatly hindered. Thanks to Chris for being so open about his experiences.

So nice to listen to Chris and his down to earth, no mumbo jumbo approach. Sadly alot of the traders that has been on the channel are like salesmen that dont want to give away their edge or something, just talking around, and not about the important stuff. Chris makes me believe that it is actually possible to make good money from trading.

What's his a plays
for this guy and his brother to make it sound as though they discovered the "holy grail" of trading systems is a bit misleading. Traders know the success of any trading system is how well and how many others "buy into" the system. It sounds as though they're playing a gap open trade and taking the short side of the trade, i.e. a reversion to the mean, not really rocket science imo. Nonetheless, congrats to them for analyzing the data and executing the system cause many new traders fail to do so. Mark Douglas makes this clear in his seminars which can be viewed on UA-cam.

Trading without looking a chart, don't buy it. But agree Level 2 isn't necessary.
Everyone made money in 2020-21. Many of those traders have been wiped and shook down starting Nov. 21 and continuing through 2022. 2022 will prove to be one of the most difficult markets to trade in a loving time.
I won't be surprised if 2023 will be even worse considering how many incompetent morons running our country.

A lot of success depends on overall market trend. Almost any strategy works in a strong bull market - even my dog Toby made money in 2020 and 2021. Right now is the REAL test. How is your P&L this year? Bears are chowing big time on juicy rear-ends. Bet a lot of traders are lost right now getting their asses kicked.

The past doesn't always dictates the future. That's why his strategy doesn't work every year. I won't spend too much time "back testing" patterns in terms of data if I were you.

I'm sorry, but this interview was a waste of time. We're constantly told to prioritize process over profits, however there's absolutely ZERO process discussed here. This is becoming a recurring theme on this channel. After the Nth feel good story they all sound the same. Dig in to strategy, or what's the point?
what has this guy said that makes any sense? What is "the system" that he is talking about ? It is all buzz words. System , data, outcomes, process...WTF does any of this mean?
Alex, this short but please listen.
Problem: Your audience wants your interviewee's strategy nuggets.
Solution: You can plug in their strategy or content into their interviews. Or do a series where you breakdown their strategies.
Aside from that, we love your work, but this would definitely help add more value to your content.
