I feel like what they were trying to do is show which faction accordingly obsesses the most advanced technology.
T-45 = Minutemen Paintjob.
T-51 = Railroad Paintjob.
T-60 = Brotherhood of Steel Paintjob.
X-01 = Institute Paintjob.

I'd like to see faction paints be available across all sets. If you wanna rep your faction like the fanboy you are, you're stuck with one set. Who's with me? Against?
Ye, I think there is a mod but only for the Minutemen, it's called Minutemen paint for all Power Armors, but IDK about Railroad, Institute or BOS
There's actually also a mod for Institute and Railroad named the same thing with the Minutemen but the name of faction is changed, I can't find BOS paints on all and even if I can it's very limited, since you can only get the unique elder, knight Sargent and knight Captain paints on T60, you can't paint it on any other power armor

I don't like how Bethesda explains the t60 power armour. It's said that I came before the war and is better than the t51 armour but the lore also states that the t51 armour was the best before the war. It just seems a bit sloppy.
Bethesda made jet a prewar drug. Enough said.

irish sith it's a postwar drug. It's no big deal, but in Fallout 2 one of quests was pretty much FOCUSED on Jet, not to mention that one of the creators of jet is a possible companion.
+Woopty Do true, but the T-51 was used at its peak during the Battle of Anchorage. this was during the Great War, and the T-60 came after it, lasting only a year or so before the bombs fell. so in truth, it came AFTER the war, but BEFORE the bombs fell.
people seem to think the Great War started when the bombs fell, but the Battle of Anchorage was what told us that the Great War came BEFORE the bombs. since we technically won, the Chinese decided to throw a hissy, and bombed the US into oblivion.
from what i've heard though, China got it the worst as a retaliatory strike.

GrizzlySkater234 Not necessarily. In the end The Sole Survivor is the most powerful. Whoever you chose to side with wins. Without you, nobody knows how to get into the insitute, and they can mass produce soldiers and send them anywhere they want, the brotherhood cant do anything about that.

Thanks for this. It's a very good video, clearly showing all the paint jobs in an efficient manner. I would love if there were more paint jobs, but we'll see what the DLC brings.
Right now my favorite paint job and armor is the Railroad T-51, which is almost matt black and has a cool logo. T-51 armor is also up-gradable to acceptable protection levels, and is easy to maintain, using mainly steel for repairs, not the aluminum that the T-60 and X-01 uses, which can be a pain in the ass to find in larger quantities (although the Corvega has a fair supply in the unused cars parts lying around on the conveyor belts).

I have a X-01 suit of Power Armor in the Hot Pink color that I affectionately refer to as "Crazy Diamond", if you catch my drift.
I have an X-01 power armor suit with the grayish blue color and a blue headlamp, I call it the "Water Raider"

What I hate it that you can only get the X-01 paint job for getting the Institute ending while the other faction paints you can get from just joining them.
Can I get the x-01 institute paint job without finishing the game with the institute? I know you can get both brotherhood paint jobs without finishing the game with them, but those this apply to the institute too?
Only on PC as far as I know. u can use a console command to unlock the paint job

Lot of time was put into this: there are no fusion cores in them many caps too especially for the atoms cats paint job

If you're asking whether different factions share a suit, no. Minutemen are limited to the busted old T45s, Railroad have scored some T-51s, the Brotherhood use the iconic T-60 and the Institute rival them with the "evil" X-01. Ergo: you can't put Minutemen paint on any better suits, and you can't put Institute paint on any worse suits. :/

They are available from the start you just need the materials
I know I'm 7 years late but you can actually make T-51 rusty like T-45, T-60 and X-01 you first upgrade it to T-51B-F and then paint it Vault Tec and revert it back to A and it will look rusty
The X01 is pretty much a throwback to the Enclave in 2 and 3, especially with that Institute Paint, because traditionally it's the Fallout armor that the bad guys use and the Institute are technically the bad guys in this game.

You missed the BOS Elder paint on T-60 Power Armor. You can get a full set by (Spoiler Alert) Killing Elder Maxson on the Institute mission to destroy the Brotherhood Of Steel.

You can only get that paint job by completing the game with them anyway, so you would've had to betray the others.
