I've practiced speedrunning this 100% on GameCube - both the original NTSC and the PAL versions. I'm not very good at it, but I just love playing it. You can do all sorts of routes and many of the items require some pretty interesting tricks. I haven't tried running this version. Aside from the the great graphics and controls, my favorite thing is the springball feature that was lacking from the GC versions. It makes moving as a ball so much fun and fast, since you don't have to unmorph constantly.
I was so sad when I forgot to tune in for this run, so I've been waiting very impatiently for it to be uploaded 😅Great run! MPR is a fantastic game and was my first Metroid Prime experience! I've got every finger crossed that Prime 2 and 3 get a similar treatment because I would LOVE to give those games a shot too!
Amazing how this remaster has already been broken wide open in just the few months it’s been out. This was a seriously amazing run by SAMURAIMAN.
I feel like the Spring Ball addition is just the developers saying sorry for closing some speed runs techniques.
