Hi Chris, I was using a Penn Regiment 2, 11ft spinning rod paired with a Penn conflict 2 Loncast. Braided line, 30lb Berkley whip8

I know it's an old vid but I'm trying my hand at bucktails I actually made them myself. I live in Cape st Francis, but my question how far do you need to cast those bucktails to hook a cob or leerie? I'm trying on the beach and not a bite yet, I try look for good structure but its all a learning curve at the moment. Any advice would be appreciated

the jigs work even better with a pork rind trailer; thats how we fish out here in New York for bass, bluefish etc. (see link below):

Eastern Cape, N2, Blue Horizon, Van Stadens Mouth, = AWESOME surf fishing area....
Just remember Mr Moodley throw them back too many kill keep and feed the cat or make fish cakes let them go so we can catch them forever
