Would love to see a vid on the oil filter housing and threads. When I got my A the threads were broke off. We were able to weld a longer threads onto the bolt and make it grab threads further up on top of the housing.
Very cool, thanks Daniel! I always wondered what they looked like inside. The one I have on my '52 B has never been apart as far as I know. Dad got it with the tractor and it's been well used over the 70+ years on plows and disks and it still works perfect. I still use it every spring and fall on prepping and cleaning up the garden. How big of a difference is there in size between the A and B cylinders? I never saw pins in our cylinder for the depth adjustment. Dad just had bolts dropped in the holes. 👍👍👍
Great story. Thanks for telling me. The A cylinder is decently bigger. In the video where I put this one back together I'll try and remember to get the B cylinder parts for comparison. The pins that came with the cylinder also had chains to keep them with the cylinder. Thanks for watching.

Good to hear. Maybe I'll get a video up on the next couple of weeks
I have one of these cylinders I think for B, will have to check, that I need to rebuild. It does have the factory pins for depth adjustment.

My MC Crawler Has One Looks The Same 1949 MC
Nice. I wonder what size is on it. You can always tell by the first letter of the part number in the cast body.
I can't ever find one for a decent price. 😂
