Welcome to Wisconsin Goob. The spray is a must this year. The ticks and skeeto's are really bad this year because of the mild winter we had. The IAT has some great points and some bad.. Great trail towns, awesome trail that is well taken care of.... the bad is that it's not finished ....lots of road walking. they call them connector routes or CRs. They are on lesser traveled roads which does help and the local trail chapters have a great support / trail angels. For the most part it's a great trail. Hope you enjoy your time on it.
Wow, Welcome to Wisconsin!!!! We live right around the corner from Hartman Creek St. Park which you will be walking right through. We would love to host you for a night. Food, bed, laundry and shower!!!!
That would be awesome! Send me a message on my Goob's Adventures Facebook page so we can keep in touch as I hike through that area. facebook.com/profile.php?id=61557946730462
Whoo hoo.. Will be looking for you posts… New shoes look good. Nemo’s new tent looks exciting! Love their tents, hope it works well. NW Ark, we use permitherin as a staple. Treat your shoes! Thanks for all the good info on the trails as you do them…it truly is helpful.❤
I will wait to see your Ice Age trail hike. I have seen someone else hike it and mosquitos and ticks are a big thing. Looks like you are planning for this and are prepared.
Enjoy the bug spray. Don't put it on your hat or underwear! I've used it before to great effect. I loved having it on my shoes and socks. It was a great help.
The Permethrin works well for me. Follow the application instructions and the safety precautions. I renew every 4 weeks to account for washing and sun damage. Treat your gear too. Good Luck, Rick
Would you ever consider showing where on a map you are each day. I want to hike this trail and would love to know each section. When you mention lcoations in your other videos, I always look them up to get a better picture of where you are in your hike.
Is your sleeping pad noisy? I'm just starting out, and I went camping this weekend and used my hiking equipment, and that sleeping pad was so noisy every time I moved. I have a big agnes air core ultra.
Looking forward to it Goob. Haven’t followed anyone on this trail before. Should be fun.
Oh, boy! Another trail with Goob! Spray your socks, too. That spray is good. I spray inside my Altras too.
Good luck, Goob. I'm looking forward to the videos.

Goob you're a machine!!
I'm from Northern Wisconsin. You'll have bugs and ticks. The bug net and pretreatment are the right way to go.
WOW, that was quick. Looking forward to hearing about and seeing this trail. Thanks for sharing. Stay Safe and HIKE ON!!!!
Wow! Great to hear you’re going on another adventure! Can’t wait to be with you in spirit as you trek on !!! ❤

I’m excited that you'll be back on trail with new videos! Yay for us!!
I’ve heard nothing but good things about that tent so if reviews are any indication, I think you should enjoy it. Enjoy watching your adventures.
Going for all the NSTs! That’s awesome! I’ll be on the CT in July but I’ll definitely catch up after I finish.
Great news!!! Can't wait. Márta from Hungary😊
Yea! Always wanted to go to Wisconsin!
Looking forward to your journey!!!
Nice, I've not watched a thruhike of that trail. Lots of trail video please.
Yahoo! More Goob! Good luck on #5!
Awesome!
The Goob never stops!
The permethrin spray works great.

I wish I could do that but I don’t carry paper maps and integrating a map into my videos is beyond my editing skills.
Can’t wait!
goobs!
Great
Never followed anyone on this trail.

My thermarest pad doesn’t make any noise as I roll around at night.
Any thoughts on hiking the American Discovery Trail? East coast to West coast.
That’s an interesting trail, but low on my list.
Mary "Pastor Mary" Davison just finished it. She did it over a few years. She wrote a book about it.
Are you starting by Minneapolis or Green Bay?
Starting close to Minneapolis and going West to East.
@@goobsadventures Awesome thatnks Goob.
What end are you going to start from?
At the west end in St Croix Falls.
Gear reviews are boring. Just saying.
